I hosted a Labubu paint party at this venue last year, and the event itself was enjoyable. The managers were friendly and easy to work with during the planning process, which initially left me excited about the possibility of hosting future events there.
At the conclusion of my event, I was told that they were interested in continuing to work together and hosting additional events in the future. Based on those conversations, I reached out multiple times afterward to discuss new event ideas and potential dates. Unfortunately, my calls, emails, and messages went unanswered.
What I found disappointing was not that they chose not to move forward with future collaborations, but the complete lack of communication. As someone who has operated a business for over 15 years, I understand that partnerships, priorities, and business decisions can change. However, professional courtesy goes a long way. A simple response stating that they were no longer interested in working together would have been appreciated and respected.
Instead, I was left feeling ignored while seeing other events continue to be hosted at the venue, including concepts similar to ideas I had previously proposed. Whether intentional or not, the experience felt unprofessional and disappointing.
Communication is one of the most important aspects of any business relationship. While my event itself was successful and enjoyable, the lack of follow-up and professionalism afterward left a negative impression.
As for FOOD from L&L Hawaiian: Macaroni Salad is SUPER GOOD! Can't go wrong with katsu. They def can work on their rice/garlic rice. It's always mushy, no matter who makes it.
