  They need a whole new staff, so you’re telling me only 2 people work here? I came in to return groceries, stood at the customer service desk for 10 mins, nobody acknowledged me, said nothing until I went over to the person IVIN was standing at self-checkout. I asked, “Are you the only one working in the store?” He said, “Me and the person that’s here at self-checkout. I’m covering for him, okay? So I need a check-out. He says, “Okay, I’ll get to you when I can.” Also, he came out of his own mouth and said it’s only him and the other guy there working, so if you’ll only have 2 people that can work, y’all need to close earlier than 12. You can’t accommodate for the customers’ needs with 2 people and a grocery store full of people. Customer service was poor.

  Why come to work if you can’t be nice and respectful? Today Destiny was my cashier, and her attitude was as if she couldn’t stand being at work! No greeting, no eye contact, talking to the other cashier! Makes me not want to come here again.

  Update: please respond here with your plan of action. Management has been contacted multiple times and no action has been taken. I have provided information, please respond here if you need additional information. We are extremely disappointed with how your Safeway has handled the ongoing issues surrounding the Pokémon vending machine and the store employee Wilbert Perez who has been bullying and intimidating customers and monopolizing the machine from customers and buying everything during and after work hours including illegally glitching the machine, bringing in other criminals to glitch the machine, and taking product and selling product in store at marked up prices as a scalper and also online via marketplace. Is this what you allow from your employees? Will something be done? For months, multiple customers have raised concerns about his loitering, monopolization of the machine, threats, intimidation, and behavior that discourages families, children, and casual collectors from being able to purchase Pokémon products fairly. Despite repeated complaints and widespread discussion among customers to management, little to nothing appears to have been done to address this behavior with this employee Wilbert Perez who continues his threatening antics. Many Safeway locations across the country have experienced problems with Pokémon card scalpers and machine-related disputes, yet other stores have begun implementing rules and enforcement measures to address the issue including disciplining and terminating employees who exhibit this behavior - your store has done nothing to address this employee even after he has threatened multiple customers and management has been notified. Customers are now scared to come into your store. This situation has been allowed to continue for months without a meaningful solution in place. As a paying customer, I come to Safeway to shop for groceries, not to witness ongoing drama around an employees behavior with a vending machine that seems to be ignored by management. The lack of action has created a poor experience for families, collectors, and regular shoppers alike. Safeway needs to take customer concerns seriously, enforce store policies consistently, and ensure that all customers have fair access to the vending machine - employees should not be able to monopolize the machine and threaten customers. At this point, the continued inaction is more frustrating than the original problem. What will be done to address Wilbert - an employee that exhibits this asinine behavior? Will someone need to be physically assaulted for you to take action? Feel free to respond here with your plan of action - this has also been forwarded to Safeway corporate.   There is an employee at this location. I believe his name is Wilbur and he works in the deli area. He frequently stalks the Pokémon machine throughout his shift, checking it every time every 30 minutes for a restock so other people can’t get it. I find it super unethical that someone who is on the clock at Safeway is able to clean out the machine of all product during his full shift at work when he should be working. He makes people very uncomfortable because when people do walk up to the machine during his shift, he stares at them and watches them. I really think that Safeway should do something about this. The employees should not be able to buy product while they’re on shift. This is currently a known and discussed issue by many people in the community about what he’s doing, and a lot of people are even refraining from even going to Safeway because of his scalper behavior.
