  I offered to take a cart back to the rack for an elderly man, just as I crossed the main drive a mini van drove right in front of me, literally inches! And stopped in front of me blocking me from entering the store. I said loudly hello… she ignored me, she was dropping off an EMPLOYEE!!! Then when the very nice cart guy commiserated with me as we walked around the vehicle the EMPLOYEE looked at me like I was utter garbage!! Disgusting behavior!!

  The store had a really rank smell and the bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. Sales are good, though!

  I order from local grocery stores once or twice a week every week, and have been doing this for at least 6 months. Giant, consistently has most, if not all advertised items in stock on a regular basis. Their ready meals however are inferior when compared to other grocery chains. The meals are smaller, and without flavor. When shopping for frozen, or routine everyday items, Giant is your best bet. But, if you're looking for a better, more flavorful easy to cook microwave meal, you're better off shopping somewhere else.

  The store is clean and well stocked. The produce and meat staff always say heh, but the self-checkout system is a hassle. First, today, 08 May, about noon, the woman with the wool hat running the self-checkout couldn't be bothered. In fact, I always cringe when I go to self-checkout and she is there because of the indifference. She always comes over and inspects your bag when the trigger happens, quite ridiculous. The machine asks you how many bags of your own are you using and still asks you to tell it how many bags you used at the end. Then the sensitivity on the platform triggers easily. The staffer today was helping another Giant person at self-checkout ringing up an order at the self-checkout register, and my scanner locked down. She had to go to the flower shop and get something and the staffer she was helping told her as she was leaving that I needed assistance. She waved her hand as if I did not matter, mumbled something condescending, and kept going to the flower shop. I've never been flagrantly disregarded by anyone at this store before, but this staffer was more than rude, unprofessional. It's a shame that the ending check-out experience can make all the friendly people in the departments inconsequential.
