  Great food conveniently located nearby the hotel we stayed at. One of the best meals we enjoyed during our DC area trip!

  This place is trouble! Delicious food, fair prices, and friendly service. We've been coming here for years and it's great to see it's still just as great! There's a reason it's always packed!

  So I am NOT a pizza person or a foodie in general -- in fact, I think this must be the first ever pizza I bought for myself in my entire life. There was also a tiny fast food typa pizza joint just around the corner from Delia's, but I'm also NOT a fast food person so I wanted something more homey n slow n "authentic", even if it cost a few more bucks. Based on some of the reviews I read, this sounded like the place. And since I was already in the area for a few days staying at a nearby hotel for a conference, it just made sense. So I pranced on over (the area is super pedestrian friendly -- huge plus). I wanted something light & portable & not too overwhelming for 1 person, possibly even to have a bit left over for traveling, so I went for the smallest 10" size to go. Preferably something more so lean & vegetable-based, so the Pesto pizza seemed like a good option. Now in hindsight, I realize I shoulda gotten some additional veggie toppings (they're pretty cheap, too)! But you live & you learn. I was surprised with how speedy everything was -- 10-15min from payment to pizza in hand. Seemed to be a slow period after 5pm on a Sunday, with only 3-4 busy tables, so maybe that also played a role. The ambiance might not be the most memorable when you first walk in, I imagine a bit on the crowded side during peak hours, but especially the space around the bar (where they take the to-go orders) seemed pretty cozy. Anyway. The pizza. It was good. Well executed overall 👍 The taste of Pesto added a nicely distinct savoriness. The grilled chicken cubes were soft & tasty. Can never go wrong with max goat cheese & spinach! Only thing I would've fixed was adding moooooaar mascarpone -- didn't seem to be that much of it. Not a huge fan of bready stuff or crusts, but well. These weren't the typical fast food pizza crusts & had some decently soft chewiness, so they got a pass from me, as well. Would I come back? Sure -- but I'd surely add some extra veggie toppings the second time around!
