  Love this place. Everything we have tried is wonderful. This place has spices, oils, rubs, freshly prepared ready to cook veggies, snacks like chips and beef jerky, they have fish, pork, beef, chicken and a variety of it comes marinated. We are in love with the Argentine steak bites. They are to die for.

  Love that they are open on Saturdays later then most butchers around. Can tell some of their staff is newer but it's a new shop and ive been a few times. The chicken breasts were the biggest breasts I've ever seen and tasted AMAZING. (Also been waiting my whole life for an excuse to say that publicly) haha great people and good vibes. Will for sure keep coming back.

  Such a great experience at Southern Steer Butcher! I called ahead to make sure they had what I was looking for, and they were so helpful and kind over the phone. When I got to the store, everyone was just as friendly and helpful in person. They took the time to answer all of my questions and made the whole experience so easy. I will definitely be going back. Highly recommend!

  Stopped in to check out Southern Steer Butcher and was impressed with their variety at first glance. We tried a sample of the steak tips, which were tasty, but the price felt a bit steep so we decided to pass and grabbed some jalapeno cheddar sausage instead. Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing meat purchases I've made. The texture was odd — soft, almost like meatloaf, with none of the snap or bite you'd expect from a sausage or brat. Flavor-wise, there was nothing there. I cooked them in beer and that was the only flavor that came through — no cheese, no jalapeno, no heat at all. Even adding ketchup and mustard just masked the sausage entirely instead of complementing it. It's a bummer to say, especially with The Wurst Meat Shop just around the corner consistently delivering great quality — I don't think I'll be back to Southern Steer

  Everything I have tried is amazing. I am going to try everything they offer. Update: Now that we have actually ate what we bought, we had an entire meal with sides and bread. Everything tasted even better than it looked, truly amazing! This place is not meant to compete with Walmart on price, but it is high quality steakhouse food at a better price to make at home. Can't decide what was better, the brats, the brussel sprouts or the bread. Can't wait for the steaks and pork later this week!
