  it was hard to say anything negative about a place where you're able to get free food. I have noticed so you can tell that the old timers at the church office building keep trying to find ways that they can cut corners even though for example they just transferred $240 billion dollars into offshore accounts. church has more money than Google Microsoft and Apple and yet they act like giving you food is a huge sacrifice. you used to be able to make adjustments to order per category for example if you had six cans of chunk chicken and five cans of tuna you can swap that for six cans of tuna and five cans of chunk chicken but now you can't do that anymore. and as bishops are really society presidents may make errors in your order you can't change it anymore. you've been able to make changes to swap products in the same category since the dawn of time and it's been incredibly convenient. my Bishop bless his heart made several errors but they couldn't correct it so I ended up just forgoing those products. one of the biggest heartbreaks was when they canceled the ice cream. they stop selling BYU ice cream there which was a huge hit with the kids and a real blessing to have ice cream or dessert that you could get. they cut that out the accountants in encounters were probably thinking this is a charity and ice cream is a privilege so they should be lucky for what they're getting. and there is truth in that statement. got to go to food banks at other churches like the St James Episcopal Church and they are so much more generous and just don't worry about what you're getting they're just not pinching those pennies. one of the biggest problems to getting food from the bishops storehouse dealing with the staff in your work either really society president or Bishop who if they're not cool, make it a hell experience. my Bishop likes to edit my order reducing the items that I requested because he thinks I don't need them which is nice of him and never bothered to tell me until I get there and suddenly things that I desperately needed he decided to cut in half or delete all together. without texting me or calling me asking me why I asked for that. he resents helping me out and has a guilt trip me every time I ask for a food order. not like I enjoy being in this position where I need to ask for that help. for the longest time you refused to help me and I went hungry for a very long time until I went to the sick president and asked him why I wasn't worthy of assistance telling the bishop became extremely friendly about helping me with my food orders. but I realize that's a individual experience and well, like I said the church has more money than Google Microsoft and apple and that's legit that's not an internet lie. you see the smaller churches and smaller organizations doing so much more with such Grace and love for the people they are serving. don't get me wrong I'm extremely grateful for the food I've gotten from them and will continue to get for a little bit longer. it's been a huge blessing. but I always comes with shaming from the bishop. I can't help but think if Jesus showed up and saw the amount of money the church had on cash on hand and real estate, they're one of the biggest real estate holders in the entire country. they have more money than some countries, that he wouldn't immediately liquidate all that money build orphanages and shelters. the church loves to brag about kudos to them that is good stuff but, they were caught moving I don't like 110 billion offshore when the hedge fund manager went public about the secret hedge fund they had. you can Google this when the publicity was going bad because it was secret money and a secret fund, they gave a billion dollar donation to charity which sounds pretty incredible and it is, but mind you, they make that much an interest in a day or a week. and probably make 3 billion a month off desert industries and you'll say there's no way but I know savers makes that much, another thrift store chain you would think they could pay their employees better.
