  There was nothing Korean about this place—not even anything that felt Korean-inspired. I'm from the NYC area, where we're fortunate to have many outstanding Korean restaurants, so I have a good basis for comparison. I was visiting Utah for a few days, and most of the restaurants I tried were actually quite good. Unfortunately, Gosu was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. The meat quality was poor and extremely tough to chew. To make matters worse, they were out of many of the vegetables and other basic ingredients that are typically expected at a hot pot restaurant. The selection was limited, and the overall quality fell far below expectations. Considering the price, the experience was incredibly disappointing. I left feeling like I had completely wasted my money. I would not recommend this restaurant and certainly would not return.

  I think I would have enjoyed it more if I was able to eat my meal with my company. With that said, every time we ordered something, everybody is things that they ordered would arrive but mine, I would give it some time to see if he needed time to prepare it, but then he would come over and ask if we need anything else.... Yes the items that I ordered with the other people would be nice, so that I could actually sat down and ate a meal with my company, instead of sitting there watching them eat. Paid $40 and barely ate anything. I get the meat is sliced thin I've ate at other Korean barbecue places, but like I couldn't even get it off the plate with out it going to shreds.

  Genuinely the best food I've ever had the pleasure of consuming. The pork belly is top tier, eggs are always perfectly cooked, wonderful options, brisket is fire, drink options are great too

  Our server was a delight, she probably saved this review from being a 1 🥲 I was so disappointed since I was looking forward to going to it as a reward to myself after a hard week. The meat was appalling. The marinade was off, there was too much salt on meat that should have been left alone. The meat looked, smelled, and tasted questionable (as in it’s old and may or may not have gone bad). Corn cheese was for some reason sour and the rice was not a typical Korean short-grain rice with sticky consistency, rather dry. We didn’t finish all the food which was a rare occurrence. We usually would just eat anyway and not come back but I genuinely didn’t want to get food poisoning. We paid and left as there’s no point to complain if everything was bad but it’s a bit disappointing since it was not a cheap meal 😔

  Food is extremely good for the price. Expect to spend ~$35 per person. Squid rings in particular are extremely good, but just getting the meat plates is excellent. I recommend any of their spicy meats.
