This Dave and busters location is in a fantastic location in downtown SLC with games, food, and drinks. However if you’ve been to any other Dave and busters across the country - Utah’s liquor laws are extremely stupid and completely hamstring this place. While this is not Dave and busters fault at all - not being able to carry your drink with you while playing games is the anthesis of what Dave & busters is all about. If you want a true Dave and busters experience, go anywhere outside the overly restrictive laws of Utah.

Raychel (with a y) was our waitress and was very good! Our drinks stayed full, she had good food suggestions, and checked in on us often. The food was excellent (steak and half rack of ribs) and cooked exactly how we asked. We were able to go play games while waiting for our food. The men's restrooms could use some attention as some of the stalls were broken. Overall it was a fantastic experience!

Some context before the review: I am from California and was visiting SLC. This was also based on my experience during Father's Day. And they were running Half Off games during Sunday. This will also largely compare other D&B locations.
I was killing time before my flight back to Los Angeles, and my brother and I love us some arcade action. We have a few D&Bs around home, and wanted to see how SLC handles business.
This was a rather slow day I think. There were definitely people there, but wait times for both arcade games and table service were pretty immediate.
I like the composition of arcade games this location offers because it blends a ton of old and new. Some of my personal old classics include games like Yahtzee and Zombie Snatcher are here that are not at Long Beach near me. And in very good working condition too. They also have the six new games that corporate is pushing for them at all locations. I also noticed I never had a game malfunction on me during my four hour time here. Everything was working great. If you're an AP though, this may not be the location for you. Not the worst return either though.
Prize selection is fairly decent. Yes they have all the regular stuff like candy, plushies, desk novelties, etc. But what sets any location apart for me, are the high level prizes like PS5s, Switch 2s, iPads, etc. that are available. Plenty of locations do not stock them or advertise that you can order them. Or maybe just order one at a time, then it'll be weeks before they get another one. This location at least seems to be well stocked, or maybe this isn't a place where people go to get a lot of high level prizes. I got a Switch OLED (original Switch, not 2) while I was here and took it home.
My dad wanted to watch the Dodger game while we were here. Obviously the world is watching the World Cup right now, but the bartender bothered to change one of the secondary TVs to the Dodgers. The bartenders were also attentive when my brother and I just wanted water, even the refills. Even with an empty house, I've had bartenders just outright ignore me.
Thanks for the wonderful time, SLC.

We had Raychel as our server today. The very first thing she said upon greeting myself and my family was "Happy Fathers Day" and that couldn't have made this experience here at this family restaurant more special on this celebrated day. She was friendly, personable, well spoken, and Cleary communicated on how the Eat & Play Combo works. Not only that, but she provided us in great detail why it would be smart to choose the up-charged entrees as it would be a game changer in saving us money on top of it being half off game day. If you ever come to Dave and Busters, ask for miss beautiful Raychel. We loved her!
Thank you, Raychel! Keep up the good work!

This place is a giant rip off. We spent almost $100 for the food and games, and didn’t have a good time. The steak and shrimp linguine was mediocre and small portion for $25. The waitress asked if I wanted garlic bread without telling me it was another $2 for a piece of bread. $3 for an honest kid Apple juice, no refill. All the kids meals were over $8 and were small portions and no side for most of them. The game area was so loud I could barely focus on what was going on and it was not fun to play in all that noise with so many flashing lights. The baby changing station in the women’s room was three feet off the ground and leaned forward so I had to bend over to change my son as he almost fell off. The only good thing was the Dave’s double, that was really good and came at a discount with tickets to the arcade. Honestly I had more fun outside at the splash pad with some cheap treats from the market nearby.
