A solid 1 ⭐️ They said something about authentic Thai & “bold flavors” but they missed flavor entirely and as far as authenticity goes… maybe not. I tried several items from their menu, really wanted to love this place. It has a great vibe, good ambiance and a very inviting atmosphere. Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, Larb Beef, Chicken Wings & Orange Chicken. The only thing I really liked were the chicken wings, they were decent… although the dipping sauce served with them was a bit strange. The Drunken Noodles came piled with bell peppers which was disappointing and there was no real flavor here, a complete miss. Bell peppers in Thai food?! 😳 Guess they’re fluffing up their dishes with cheap veggies. Pad Thai was flavorless as was the Orange Chicken. You can get more flavor from Panda Express’ Orange Chicken. This was just over sauced and overly sweetened and too soggy for my tasty. Seemed like it's not made fresh and probably just sitting, just like at Panda Express? The biggest miss for me overall was the Larb Beef. I was so excited to see this one on the menu, but it was not good. No Larb flavor at alllllll. Just very strong mint flavor. Mint is more of a garnish than the main flavor for Larb, but it was overpowering and was nowhere near the Thai or Laos flavor of Larb. Last, Mango Sticky Rice. Solid MEH. The mango was very sour, the rice wasn’t very good, the coconut sauce was lacking flavor - sweet, but no savory taste too it. The service was actually really great and we enjoyed our server, very helpful and attentive. Disappointing to get charged 4% on the back end for credit card fees too and really have nothing up front or any mention by a server when paying indicating the charge would be coming until you see the receipt and everything is priced 4% higher. Sorry, that’s the cost of doing business as a business owner and it’s a bit petty to pass your costs on. Overall, would I come back? Probably not and wouldn’t recommend Tuk Tuk to friends. It just doesn’t hit the mark and is missing the flavors you’d expect from a Thai food restaurant.

I came in last night to pick up some takeout. My fiancée was craving mango sticky rice, so I decided to grab it on my way home. It took a while to be noticed, including a guy walking past me a few times, but when I was finally noticed, the girls who helped me were so kind and helpful! I ordered two mango sticky rices that were incredible. However, I also ordered a Massaman Curry for us to share, and I specified no spice. I love spice, but my fiancée lacks a gallbladder, and spice isn't good for that. Massaman is one we both like to share because even when it's not spicy, it has great flavor, so we can both enjoy it. Well, reader, my buildup and two stars might have spoiled it, but it was the opposite of “no spicy” it was HOT. I like hot and can handle a lot of spice, but I had to have some milk after taking a few bites. So this isn’t me being sensitive. My fiancée took a few bites before the spice registered, but even then, it was too late. Cue the intense pain for the rest of the night, making them unable to enjoy the mango sticky rice. It was extra disappointing because, as a takeout order, we couldn’t fix it and were stuck with something we didn’t want and couldn’t enjoy. Waste of twenty bucks and a good chunk of time. When it’s good, I get it! Fresh food takes time and uses good ingredients but in this case, it felt like a waste. We're unsure if we’ll give it another chance, which is unfortunate because we love Thai food, live five minutes away, and had been excited to have a nearby spot to frequent. Side note: I also wish there had been a place to sit while waiting. I had to stand for quite a while and wished I could sit down after a bit. But it is a cute spot with good ambiance.

Tuk Tuk’s new Riverton location hit me so hard with flavor that I slipped into a peaceful food coma and woke up somewhere deep in Thailand, wearing sandals made out of bamboo, and I definitely didn’t own them before dinner. You know, the kind of boujee sandals you’d find at Free People clothing store for $600. Anyways, the pad thai launched me onto a wild Tuk Tuk roller coaster driven by a maniac named Somchai, who proudly informed us he got his driver’s license while caddying on a golf course and had never actually gotten a license, which seemed fitting based on how nauseous I was in the back of his Tuk Tuk Every turn sent bowls of curry flying past my face while distant aunties judged my spice tolerance from folding chairs on the balconies above us. At one point we jumped a river, three scooters, and what I believe was a medium-sized elephant carrying someone. Thailand is crazy to say the least. My wife claims we never left Riverton, but that sounds exactly like something someone would say after surviving the Somchai Express. Five stars, if I disappear for a few days, tell my family I’m somewhere between the drunken noodles and the fourth loop-de-loop headed back to the motherland with my boy Somchai!

We are so excited Tuk Tuk’s has opened this location! We are fans of the Draper location but Riverton is so much closer. The dining room is big and it was very busy when we were there. Everyone working there was so friendly and excited about the new location. Our food arrived very quickly and was piping hot. We started with tempura vegetables and they were perfect. They were everything you want tempura vegetables to be. Hot, perfectly cooked, with crispy tempura batter. The dipping sauce was delightful. We also got Thai Orange Chicken and Drunken Noodles. Both were excellent. The Orange Chicken was crispy, sweet with a nice little kick. I LOVE the Drunken Noodles from Tuk Tuks because of how many veggies they add. I swapped the mushrooms for bean sprouts and it was exactly what I had been craving. We got larb with chicken as an accidental bonus and I couldn’t be happier. I love larb and this was so flavorful with bright bold flavors. We loved it and can’t wait to go back!

We ordered the wings (listed on the menu at $12), shrimp spring rolls ($10), and the chicken Massaman ($18). Unfortunately, none of the food really stood out. I've had spring rolls locally that tasted better and cost less. The wings were nothing special and came with a sauce that tasted like something you could pick up at any grocery store. As for the Massaman, I've honestly enjoyed better versions at just about every other place I've ordered it. One thing that was a little odd was that when we ordered, the waitress told us we could have our food made less spicy and that they would bring us extra spice on the side if we wanted to add more heat. What arrived was a small dish of dry chili flakes, which wasn't quite what we expected and didn't really enhance the meal. What really bothered me was when the bill came. Every item was priced higher than what was listed on the menu. When we asked the waitress about it, she gave a very convoluted explanation about an additional 4% charge or fee. Regardless of the reason, customers should be informed upfront if they're going to be charged more than the advertised menu prices. It felt questionable and left a bad impression. On the positive side, the décor and ambiance were excellent. It would make for a great date-night spot. One other thing that felt off and oddly funny was at the end of our meal a busser came over to the table, loudly stacking dishes, blocking the view to the waitress who had been trying to talk to us and creating quite a bit of noise and distraction. Maybe I'm being a little harsher than usual because this seems to be becoming a trend with some restaurants lately—charging higher prices while delivering a pretty average food and overall dining experience. For me, the atmosphere was the highlight, but it wasn't enough to make up for the food quality, service inconsistencies, and pricing concerns.
