  Always feel the spirit of aloha when I come here!! As someone from the islands who misses the food from home, this restaurant is perfect. The food is authentic, the portions are great, and the atmosphere is wonderful- love that they play music from back home. The employees are kind and everyone I’ve spoken to is from Hawaii, so it always feels like home when I walk in. If you come here, you won’t be disappointed.

  I have only had my food delivered to work. The food is amazing. It is my new favorite food place.

  This my 2nd time eating here my first experience was just as bad as this 2nd time. This place is by far the worse poly plate we have ever had. Katsu chicken was rock hard and tasted burnt like it was fried in old oil. Rice was over cooked and mushy. Musubi seemed like it was made days ago, very hard to eat. If you’re thinking about eating here don’t. You would be more satisfied eating McDonald’s.

  I'd been craving some teriyaki and mac salad for about 3 weeks. I finally gave in and did a search online. Admittedly I was unfamiliar with the Hungry Hawaiian and spent a good 20 minutes trying to decide between places that were more familiar to me. Since the Hungry Hawaiian is only a couple blocks from my office I tried it and was not disappointed. Will definitely be trying other menu items in the future.

  I’ve been here before and it’s been great, but three weeks ago I came during lunch rush. At that time, there was only one worker and lots of customers. I was very understanding that he was overwhelmed. However, he was throwing dishes, cutting off customers as they were ordering, and was overall in a terrible mood with terrible service. I asked for spam musubi at one point and he was very blunt and “didn’t have time to make that”. Good food, terrible attitude.
