I ordered a breakfast bento plate to go. The spam needed a bit more cooking on the frying pan to achieve a light crisp texture. The breakfast sandwiches were good, but I didn’t realize there was cheese on them. I would have opted out if I had known. I hope it’s optional.
I’m glad that new ownership has changed the food However, I do think the Hispanic cashiers should embody the Aloha spirit, considering that this is a local Polynesian bakery that people love
I had an absolutely terrible experience tonight. The teriyaki chicken was dry and burnt, the kalbi ribs were tough and came out about 20 minutes after the teriyaki, the rice was burnt, hard, and tasted like it was sitting there for hours. It was one of the most disappointing meals I’ve ever paid for. The food quality was unacceptable, and I left regretting every dollar spent specially since everything is so expensive for bad food! I will never return and do not recommend this restaurant to anyone .

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this restaurant! I’ve had their house made rolls (sticky, coconut, and taro) on multiple occasions and they are always consistently delicious!
Today I had the pleasure of eating in with them for the first time, and fell even more in love. Their staff was friendly and helpful throughout the ordering process and brought out the fresh rolls while waiting for the entree!
The atmosphere was calm and the music level was loud enough to allow for private conversation, and quiet enough to blend into the background of the dining experience. The food was delicious and very filling! Be prepared to take home leftovers due to the large serving sizes.
(My meal was the Loco Moco in the last photo)
The sticky rolls are insanely good, and everything else I've ever tried there has been amazing. They also have a board where you can buy food for someone who can't afford to buy it themselves, and I think that is just a lovely way for a small business to create opportunities for people to give back and be in community. I love this place!

What a wonderful experience!
My husband and I stopped in for brunch and ended up staying about an hour and a half because the food was great and the conversation was even better. We had the opportunity to meet one of the owners and enjoyed talking about business, purpose, community, and serving others. It was one of those conversations that leaves you encouraged long after you walk out the door.
My husband ordered the Island Breakfast Bento, and I had the biscuits and gravy. We also shared one of the sticky sweet rolls and one of the savory rolls. Everything was absolutely delicious.
The portion sizes were generous without being overwhelming. The biscuit was clearly homemade, fresh, and a great size. One thing I especially appreciated was that the sausage was served as pieces of sausage patty on top of the gravy rather than mixed into it. That’s my personal preference because I like to see what I’m getting and enjoy the flavor and texture of the sausage itself.
The Island Breakfast Bento was flavorful and satisfying, the sweet roll was a treat, and the savory roll was equally impressive. You can tell that care and intention go into both the food and the customer experience.
What stood out most, however, was the atmosphere. In a world where so much feels rushed and impersonal, Budda’s feels like a place where people matter. The food was excellent, but the hospitality and genuine connection made the experience memorable.
If you’re looking for a local business with great food, generous portions, and owners who genuinely care about their customers and community, Budda’s Bakery & Breakfast is well worth the visit.
Thank you for creating a place where people can gather, connect, enjoy a delicious meal, and leave feeling a little more encouraged than when they arrived. We will definitely be back.
Service Dog friendly.
