I just wanted to start off by saying I don’t like to complain. I really wanted to like this place and I tried. There was not enough water for our table and we were not able to get more until half way through our dining experience. They were out of the dish I wanted and that happens, but I was not happy with my second choice. I ordered the chicken Alfredo and it was good but not $40 good it had like 3 pieces of chicken and lacked depth to the flavor. Olive Garden is 100x better. My friend next to me also ordered the Alfredo and was served more which turned out to be mostly sauce and onions. When we finally got water there was a sticker floating in it. It was just gross enough that the whole meal kind of gave me the ick. They also automatically factor in a tip. To be fair, I was part of a large group. I think my friends who ordered burgers had a better experience. The staff were very nice, but it does sit wrong with me that a less than mediocre restaurant can charge obscene prices purely based on location and lack quality.
We went to The Eating Establishment for breakfast while we were in Park City. The location was great, being just a short walk from our hotel. The staff weren’t very engaging but the food was amazing! The French Toast was so big that we could’ve split it and the Lemon sauce on the side was a nice surprise!

The food was good, the ravioli was exceptional, the vegetable sandwich was good but the fries were nothing special, these are served at many other restaurants. The service was lackadaisical, the food came out in a timely manner but the servers and host all seemed to just be meh about providing good service.
My family visited The Eating Establishment this past Sunday after the Frozen show, and it was an uncomfortable experience from start to finish. From the moment we sat down, the middle-aged woman who hosted us seemed put out by our presence. She was not friendly, and when she brought water, she slid the cups across the table at my 1 & 4 year old rather than setting them down. My parents were with us and grabbed them before they fell off the table.
Minutes later, I watched this same woman berate a bartender, demanding he bring water to a table outside. When he said he couldn’t hear her, she dramatically dropped the food she was carrying onto a table, walked over, and *physically grabbed him* to pull him toward the dishes so he’d take over. I have never seen an employee lay hands on a coworker like that.
At that point we’d had enough and decided to leave. There are too many good restaurants in Park City to spend our night at one where staff are treated this way. On our way out, we passed the same woman again, and my mom told her we were leaving because of her behavior. She just stared back and didn’t say anything. We walked across the street to Red Banjo instead and had a great dinner.
I’d been wanting to try The Eating Establishment for years, so this was a real letdown. Looking at other recent reviews, it doesn’t seem like our experience was unusual. I will not be returning, so do not need the same generic response as the others.
For reference, this was 7/12/26 around 7:00 PM if management wants to check camera footage.
