Tuesday, July 7th, after walking over a mile home from my 2nd shift at my 2nd job, I decide man, maybe some pizza would be an easy ending to a hard day. I couldn't have been more wrong. Upon entering this Pizza Hut, I'm not greeted, but see who I presume to be the manager, begrudgingly walk towards the register. While still wearing his earbud, he sits there, so I decide to begin the conversation. I ask for a 3 meats pizza, and explain that I only want pepperoni on half of it, and add olives to the whole thing. He then says in a honestly rude tone, we don't have 3 meats. Okay so do you have something like it? "We have a meat lovers" okay, what comes on that? He then grunts before quickly listing the toppings, stuttering, restarting, and then counting them on his fingers. It's hard to understand him, but I say it sounds fine, and say that I only want Bacon, Sausage, and Olives on half. The other half can be normal, and add olives. He confirms the toppings, and I say yes. He then asks, "What crust and size?" Uhm- Medium? I don't know, I don't eat pizza much what kinda crust is it, white bread, wheat bread? I ask because I genuinely am unfamiliar. He then list essentially the same way as he did the toppings, saying thin, hand tossed, and eventually just mumbling so I just say thin is fine. He confirms the pizza, I say yes, and ask to add a 2 Liter A&W, and a Brownie. He then tells me my total of 31 dollars and some change. Doesn't ask me if I ant my change back, and goes into the kitchen while talking to himself. As I sit in their 2 chair lobby, a couple walks in and says they're there for a mobile pickup. The screen shows it was supposed to be ready at 9:12, it was currently 9:12. The manager then says "we're just waiting on the bread sticks- so uhm--- 5 minutes?" Then disappears. Waiting in the lobby you hear the manager kinda tossing the assembly line covers up and down as he needs to use stuff. He ask kinda talks to his coworker in a ride tone of voice, and at least noticable to me, was partially raising his voice. The other employee eventually comes out and gives the couple their food, probably around 9:22. I then sit there, watching other mobile orders appear. When I get my order, it's delivered by the other employee and I thank him and wish him a good night. I then walk home and upon getting home, my pizza is wrong. It's a cheese pizza with Sausage and Bacon on half, and olives on the whole thing. Okay, so he understood the modifications, but misunderstood the base pizza. I go walk back, with receipt and pizza in hand. Upon walking in, "What's wrong with it?" I politely explain the misunderstanding, and even say I understand it. He kinda just sits there and looks at me, but admits it was a misunderstanding. I then ask if I can get a remake, or what, and he kinda mutters under his breath, essentially saying yes, but his tone being upset to have to do so. He punches it in, and in what seems like an attempt to push me away, asks if I'm fine waiting a 15 minute wait or longer. I say yes. At this point why wouldn't I, when I didn't get the food I wanted.. I wait in the lobby, watching their screen say ready for all the mobile orders, yet still wonder why it's such a long wait. While sitting there, the manager kinda yaps to me about how he isn't going to take the pizza back, because I already left with it. Which, I'm aware of, but he really didn't need to explain that as I had already been waiting 10 minutes in silence for my remake pizza. When the pizza is ready, the manager walks up and says something along the lines of "Is that Better?" And then as I walk up, he opens it, and says "As in if you actually look at it before you leave." I say it's fine, and thank him. However, I am very upset. I as a customer have no obligation to check the food that you provide. It is your job to ensure it's correct the first time. If you don't understand, ask questions. I even get it if he's new, but that was unprofessional, and I'd quite frankly appreciate a refund.
