Such a lovely store. The staff greeted us with smiles and politely and helpfully answered availability questions. The indoor seating looked welcoming. We chose an outdoor table as did other parties. Parking was free and easily found. We visited Magnolia after 8:30pm on a Tuesday night. We only waited for two other customers though there was a steady flow of patrons. The original banana pudding was worth the drive across the valley from the far west side. The lemon bar had a supportive, thin, tender crust and was delightfully tart. We liked the firm, substantive yet light texture of the blueberry cheesecake with delicious topping. We also purchased the red velvet cheesecake and a chocolate cupcake with chocolate frosting to be enjoyed later.

We visited this location 2 times in one weekend - it was that good! We tried a variety of desserts: cupcakes, slice of cake, and banana pudding. All were excellent. The chocolate/chocolate cake slice was recommended by another customer and did not disappoint. I would highly recommend everything about this location. It's busy and new - so a little grace goes a long way - but super friendly and knowledgeable staff, clean restaurant, delicious tastes. It is busy - so they were sold out of cupcakes - but restocked within 15 minutes, so we waited for new fresh ones! I am surprised at some of the negative reviews and think some people just want to hate on a new and delicious thing. We're happy this Magnolia is here in utah!

Expectations were high for the new Magnolia Bakery in Salt Lake, especially for anyone who knows the quality of the original New York locations. Unfortunately, this new shop really misses the mark. It comes across as a franchisee that has the official recipes but struggles with execution and service. The banana pudding and strawberry crumble tasted is, but the presentation was off. Both desserts looked like they were just slopped into the cups, making them look unappetizing. To make things worse, the banana pudding was missing requested ingredients and the container was only partially filled. Hopefully things are improved soon as I would like to come back once it lives up to the Magnolia name.

We had to try out Magnolia Bakery and see what the hype was all about and it didn't disappoint. Ordering in store was fairly easy but they are pretty busy. I do hope they will have online ordering at some point. We tried two vanilla cupcakes, a slice of their chocolate cake with chocolate frosting, a red velvet cheesecake, and of course their Banana Pudding. The banana pudding and the red velvet cheesecake were by far the best things! The banana pudding was creamy and had great vanilla wafers in it and a great flavor to it. The red velvet cheesecake is rich but is so delicious and it had chocolate crust on the bottom that was a very good pairing with the cheesecake. The cupcakes and chocolate cake slice were middle of the road for us. We did enjoy the cakes more than the frosting. Also, the pricing for everything we got was very affordable. The service at this location was good. I just think that they just opened and are pretty busy and if you have patience they will help you out. The employees were friendly which was so nice to see. They do also have seating indoors and outside as well. I definitely will revisit them and we highly recommend the banana pudding!

Cute place. Staff friendly.Nice packaging. Poor execution/efficiency. Pricing is reasonable in todays market. The food, not so great. Banana pudding is a 3 out of 5. Too much whip cream to pudding ratio. Red Velvet Cake 0 out of 5. NO flavor. The frosting had a strang taste, trying to decide if it was shortening or cheap vanilla I was tasting. We got 2 of the mini cheesecakes. They were both creamy, so the texture was good. The flavor not so good. 2 out of 10. The lemon bar 2 out of 5. Flavor was ok. Texture was not. The Magic bar. I will give a 4 out of 5. It needed more chocolate to coconut ratio. We got there when they opened. We were 8th in line. It took 30 mins. We were going to order beverages as well but felt like it would hold things up. I honestly will probably not go back. Sad to say.
