Guru's Spice House was the very first place I ever tried Indian food and despite being very hyped up by my boyfriend, it exceeded expectations. As someone who doesn't eat meat very often and can be pretty picky or particular about it, stepping out of my comfort zone here was the best decision I ever made.
Their butter chicken curry and rice are perfect. Every single time we go, the chicken and curry is seasoned perfectly; never too salty, never overwhelmingly spicy, just right. And the naan? I genuinely dream about it. My boyfriend and I only allow ourselves one dine-out dinner per week, and out of all the options in the valley, we love this place so much that we sometimes go to Guru's Spice House three times in a row.
I want to give a personal shoutout to Nesam. While the food is phenominal, what truly makes the visit amazing is their hostess and waitress, Nesam. She is the definition of hospitality. She is exceptionally polite, wonderfully easy to talk to, and makes you feel completely taken care of as soon as you walk in.
As someone who often struggles with phone calls, ordering food, and speaking up when miscommunications happen (usually settling for an incorrect order to avoid conflict) Nesam is an absolute blessing. She is so thorough and always double checks my order before submitting it. Because she creates such a welcoming and comforting environment, I never have to feel afraid to make changes or clarify details. She makes ordering completely stress-free, and her kindness leaves a lasting impression.
Thank you, Nesam, and thank you to the entire team at Guru's Spice House for always makign our dinner dates so special!
The food is absolutely the best!

I recently visited Guras Spice House and it quickly became one of my favorite Indian (and Nepali) spots in the area! The Chicken Tikka Masala was incredibly flavorful and perfectly spiced, with tender meat that melted in my mouth. The butter chicken was rich and aromatic, while the chicken biryani stood out with its fragrant rice and juicy pieces. Their garlic naan and momos were highlights—soft, fresh, and delicious. Portions are generous, service is friendly and attentive (whether dining in or taking out), and everything arrives hot and well-packaged.
Authentic tastes, great value, and consistent quality make it worth the drive. Highly recommend—don’t miss the spicy options if you like heat! We’ll be back soon.
