We really enjoyed having lunch at Basta. The food was fresh and had great flavor. We tried the pizza and the pasta and both were delicious! If you love wood fired pizza this is the place for that! The pasta is made fresh in house and the sauce and meatballs were so good! We will for sure be dining here again!

Wish I had a better review to post. The food was great and what we expected, but the service was really disappointing. We ordered takeout for a special occasion and I arrived 30 mins after I ordered as they said it would be ready then. I got there and ended up waiting another hour. Why? Well they had a huge influx of orders and instead of doing them in order of placement, they scattered the tickets randomly on the table and started shouting them back to the kitchen. So people who walked in and placed a takeout order had theirs in 5-10 minutes and some waited for 90 minutes like me. I asked 3-4 times where my order was at and they appeared confused each time and just said sorry. I get they were overwhelmed but the way they handled the big bunch of orders really made for a painful and frustrating experience where I missed most of the special occasion waiting for food.

Prices are outrageous, the portions are small too. The drinks are very expensive and genuinely not worth it for the meal. Food takes forever to come out and i got the basic noodles with marinara sauce and feel I could have done it better at home I barely ate it. We did get a pizza and it was decent but definitely not worth the price. The staff was nice though and the restaurant was clean.

Drinks are coke products in bottles and they have no Dr Pepper (lose 1 star) The pasta choices are good and they are tasty. We had rigatoni and gnochi. Cooked perfect al dente. The gnochi felt pillowy with a slight sticky edge. The sauces are varied and we liked our options. The "Favorite" Cacio was cheesy and creamy. The Pesto was thicker than anticipated but gave a good amount to scoop up with the gnocchi. They bring bread and oil to your table after ordering at the counter. That was underwhelming, needed some more dipping oil. But the protein options are just crispy chicken (no grilled) ,, sausage, bacon and shrimp. The sausage addition was substantial enough to have some in each bite. The shrimp is a nice option though we didn't get it. And of course there is bacon, wished it was pancetta. Portions were good took home some, hubz did not.

I've been eyeballing this place for a long time. When they finally opened I didn't have time to go check it out but I saw some social media posts on TikTok about it from the owner and we made the choice to go. It was practically empty which should have been my first hint. They have quite a few options so everyone was able to find something to try that came with us. We ended up ordering some appetizers and a couple of Italian sodas, end plates for everyone. Service kind of sucked. We didn't get sodas because they only offered cans for a high cost so we went with water. I had to ask for them to bring that because it was a hot day and we were so thirsty. They did oblige but I had to go ask for the water. It did come if a carafe which was good. The Italian sodas were very sweet which is good because I've had some pretty terrible Italian sodas. My wife ordered a focaccia appetizer which we did not realize was a sandwich type situation. It was just okay. Im no stranger to fresh made pasta so I was very excited for the dishes to come out . The sauces were pretty good but the pasta itself was all a major let down. For the price the portions were incredibly small and the kids portion seemed like it was the same size as the adult...so maybe order kids portions to save some money. All our pasta was stuck together like it had been over cooked and even after trying to mix the sauce into it. Very hard to eat. My wife got the side of chicken parm and it was very dry. I got the shrimp scampi and it was nothing to write home about other than it did smell semi fishy which made me question how fresh it was. The add one of meat made our overpriced pasta meals as much as a fine dining establishment and it was not up to that level. I was highly disappointed in our visit.
