Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

- LSLinda ScottJul 26, 20261.0I got a bacon burger with extra cheese and onion rings. It was the worst burger I have ever gotten from a fast food place. I had asked ahead if I could get really crisp bacon. Oh yes, they said. Turns out their bacon is so thin and insubstantial it would be hard not to crisp it. But they managed it anyway. The meat patty was thin too. The lettuce chopped up so falling out all the time. Only about 1/4 of the sandwich was hot enough that the cheese melted. In fact it was hard to find the cheese. That extra cheese slice I paid for? It was totally cold. Like someone at the last second realized they had not put on the extra cheese, so they slapped on the cold cheese direct from the fridge and said good enough! The onion rings were warm noodle like, not crisp at all. Then they had put on lashings of MUSTARD!! ON A BLT THEY PUT ON MUSTARD!! NO MAYONNAISE!! I didn't think to say no mustard on my bacon burger!! This mess cost about $15.00. Over priced and very poorly prepared!! Do I have to say I'll never go there again?!
