Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Ate a whataburger for the first time, it was better than Wendy's. I had the burger that has bacon in it, not too much bread, it was great.

Do not come here if you want to get food poisoning. If I could give 0 stars I would 100 percent do it. I plan calling corporate also because they are closed on weekends. I visited this location in our way to Houston Texas from Colorado. I am a Colorado native and never have had Whataburger and I’m not sure after this experience I’ll ever go back to one. I walked inside and it was littered with trash. The bathroom so dirty I couldn’t even use it. That’s when I should have left. I ordered from the store I was the only person in there. Staff was conversing in the lobby while stuffing their faces with burgers. The floor manager also eating. The lady putting my order together forgot my son’s meal. I watched her pick her face and then go back to preparing food without changing gloves or washing hands. Prepping food on a dirty bare counter without cleaning it or paper wrapping. Hands my food to me, it’s been 30 mins at this point and I leave. I get to the truck in the parking lot and my food is ice cold and old. My husband’s food was also the same temp of a refrigerator. But the real catch is I didn’t eat mine because I was not willing to get sick. My husband got super sick less than 24 hours after here and it’s really ruined our family vacation. Thanks for that. I called the store and they clearly did not care one bit.
