Last Saturday night I walked into Pappasito's to place a to-go order, and I stood there for TWENTY MINUTES while staff walked past me like I was invisible. Not one greeting. Not one "we'll be with you shortly." Nothing. I was standing right there, and nobody cared. This isn't some hole-in-the-wall — this is Pappasito's, a place that charges premium prices and acts like it's premium service. It's not. I finally gave up and walked out empty-handed, and I will never waste my time here again. If this is how they treat a paying customer trying to give them money, imagine how little they care about anything else. Do yourself a favor and go to Lupe Tortilla down the road instead.
- SVS VC4 days ago5.0We had such a great experience at Pappasitos, especially thanks to our waitress, Aleyna. She was incredibly kind, attentive, patient, and gave us great recommendations. Even though she had several tables, she always made sure to check on us and made us feel well taken care of. She truly was one of the best waitresses we’ve had in a long time! It was our first time visiting, and the food was amazing as well. The beef fajitas were tender and delicious, the tortillas were excellent, and the stuffed crab cakes were outstanding. Great food and even better service. We’ll definitely be coming back!

From the time we walked in before rush hour at 4:30pm we had no wait to be seated and was told the server would get our menus and drinks.. we waited over 10 min with countless waiters and staff walking by our table with no drinks, menus, chips until a table got seated next to us and I had to ask the hostess to get our waiter since it’d been over 10min and absolutely no service. She approached the manager who swiftly came in and offered to help and give us an appetizer on the house, got us our drinks and menu. I thought great, this will be the end of our bad experience, WRONG. We waited a little longer for the waiter to come by and take our order and we made it very simple, we were hungry and gave him our order of a trio plate right when he approached us. He seemed attentive for the first 10 min then that went away. Our water and tea went dry multiple times and by the time we left we were offered ZERO refills. This includes him coming over giving our check, returning our card, and bringing us a to go box. Which took a lot longer than necessary. This place has way TOO MANY WAITERS and staff to not have everyone’s drinks refilled in a timely manner or the right level of service provided overall. The food was delicious but really the service makes me never want to return. I can take my money elsewhere and not have to sacrifice anything. The bad experience continued in the bathroom where the 3 stalls I had opened had ZERO toilet paper in them. Another customer leaving was similarly frustrated and said she would tell the staff and someone did come in right away but customers should not have to tell you before peak dinner time there are no toiletries. Finally, to top it all off, we’re so ready to just get out of here and I ask for tortillas to go. We ordered a HUGE plate for just us two so I asked for 6 tortillas. I guess they ran out of tortillas as this took about an extra 10 min. I should have checked but by the time I got home I realized I only had 3.
- OOOaklandsFinestSep 19, 20261.0First off, Cindy and the other manager on duty Saturday evening between 7 and 10 pm are horrible managers. We had a party of over 20 people and they assigned us one waiter who was either new, or simply not confident in what he was doing. The drinks took forever (arrived more than 45 minutes after we ordered them.) When they came they were distributed to people in our party who arrived after us by mistake. I had to send my frozen margarita back because it was no longer frozen, and order something else. They then tried to minimize our party by moving heaven and he'll to accommodate the manager's friends or family who she had time to chat with but told us we only needed one waiter. The place was packed but I have never been to a Pappasito's with such piss poor service. If you have a party with 20 plus people there needs to be at least two people, one for drinks, one for food. It was apparent there was a bit of discrimination going on and that is not an exaggeration. I probably won't patronize this place again and will discourage my circle to do the same.
