Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

My poor old grandmother went there to simply buy some lunch for the first time and she requested certain things such as extra mayo and extra lettuce and they gave her the food with absolutely none of that. A blank old looking sandwich with nothing but chicken and a bun lol. Then the managers start to fight with each other. And none of the cooks speak English. !! Avoid this place !!

I asked the cashier to change it to the right meal & I would wait but the manager (I think) comes out and says “But it’s already been made” I told him I wouldn’t mind waiting but I wasn’t paying for something I didn’t order. He said he was going to charge me $8 okay fine but honestly I rather would have waited then his response. The cashier lady was lovely tho.
