  One of my top 5 places to eat in 45 years. The food is perfectly cooked, the service is on point. The quail knots were amazing, salmon cooked to perfection, (melted in your mouth like butter). If you get the chance go, it's worth every penny.

  We chose Mastros for a Date Night since they're participating in Houston Restaurants Week. Unfortunately, we realized once we arrived that we'd be required to spend more than $55/pp because the entrée doesn't come with a side. The available sides on the HRW menu were $20, but they are shareable. We also were offered bread but didn't know that it was not complementary until the bill came. It was $6. I wish we would've known that because we didn't eat it all, and it was taken away from our table. The drinks were pricey but the ones we ordered came in a shaker cup and there was drink left to refill our glasses once. The wedge salad was really good. We ordered the filet and redfish with a side of crab fried rice which was $45. My redfish was just OK. I didn't enjoy the butter cake dessert at all. It was very grainy to me. Our server Chris was very attentive and provided a lot of information to us as first time diners. I'm glad we had the experience, but I don't think I'll ever go back again. We could spend similar money at other restaurants with much better food without it being HRW.

  Our recent dining experience at Mastro’s Steakhouse was exceptional, due in large part to the outstanding service provided by our server, Rosie. ​From start to finish, the hospitality was executed with precision. Rosie ensured our water glasses were consistently filled, drink orders were promptly handled, and the pacing of the meal was seamless. Every dish arrived prepared to perfection. The attentive oversight from the floor management—checking in directly at our table—further demonstrated the staff's dedication to maintaining the highest standard of service. ​Rosie’s professionalism and attentive focus made for a flawless evening. Mastro’s remains an elite establishment, and we look forward to returning.

  I took my fiancée here for our one year anniversary on 8/22. Overall, I was extremely happy with the service and the food. The hostess was very accommodating when we requested more intimate seating for our special occasion. We ordered the seafood tower, chef’s cut ribeye chop, and the butter cake; all of which we were very pleased with. The meat was tender to our liking and the seafood very fresh. We will definitely request for Brent to be our server next time. The only criticisms we had is that our second and third courses were slightly under-salted and the atmosphere was a bit louder than we were hoping. We felt it was more of a double date or fun night out with friends vibe than intimate, but we understand this factor can vary depending on the day. Nonetheless I will definitely keep this place at the top of my list for special occasions and random dates.

  We were promptly seated. We were originally seated in the back, behind the bar and it felt too romantic for a group of 3 women. We asked to be move closer to the piano & water wall. They moved us promptly, no questions asked and gave us a seat right in front of the piano & wall. They were so nice and respectful. It was my first time there but I will be going back often! They won me over.
