Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
This is the worst Whataburger in the state of Texas, I’ve driven the entire state for my work, and this is it. In the drive thru at 11:40pm, we can’t pull up to the speaker because of the truck in front of us but the person inside the store keeps trying to take our order. We try to yell as loud as we can to just give us a minute. A couple minutes later, the truck pulls forward, we get to the speaker, they tell us to hold on a minute. 11:59 they finally respond after giving THE ONE PERSON in front of us their food, roughly 15 minutes for a single order. We said “NOPE” and drove off., passing a drive thru window with a kitchen of at least 4 employees. This exact thing has happened before, too! They want to play petty because they don’t understand if someone is FAR AWAY from a microphone their voice doesn’t get picked up by the mic!
I’ve seen 4-5 people milling around in their kitchen but the food still takes 10+ minutes. I’ve seen two employees rough housing and play fighting at the dumpster while there’s a line of people. I’ve heard the staff shouting racial slurs at each other. I’ve been ignored and insulted by the staff while they think I
can’t hear them. I’ve walked into a filthy mess all over their front counter. And my order has been wrong more often than right. If you’re going to be rude and slow at least do the food right!
It’s less than 5 minutes from my house and I work nights so it’s the convenient option when I’m tired and not cooking, but I am officially done. I would rather go hungry. I want the name of the GM of this store and the name of that GM’s direct report but what good would that do? They’re the ones responsible for the consistent pattern of unbelievably rude and unprofessional staff. They are clearly incompetent as managers.

Absolutely terrible service would’ve drove off of there wasn’t someone in front of me and behind me I pulled up the lady said one moment never came to take my order had to call for someone then waited 20 plus minutes for my food in drive thru just for it all to be made wrong and waited an extra 10-15 minutes for it to be made right

Always the same thing it takes forever when u order at 3am, I understand you have to cook your food fresh....but it should not be more then 10 minutes max especially when there is no cars i front of you...I used to work in fast food. But wait for your food 20 minutes its really ridiculous and the worst thing they never tell you an excuse why it takes forever....when the store manager or the owner will fix this?

This whataburger has gone downhill. Waited 20 mins over what curbside said my food would be ready. Had to go inside to see what was taking so long, only to see my food was just sitting by the fry station. Fries and gravy were missing and had to get that fixed. Seemed like it was a joke to them that they got my order wrong. One worker did give me a pie to make up for it, but for the workers to be laughing after they handed it to me doesn’t seem like it was a good way to make up for it. If the other whataburger wasn’t out the way I would have went there instead.
