  Iv had to stay in temple for 5 weeks for job training and while here I searched really hard for that good ole southern Cajun flava. I was born & raised in New Orleans so when I think of food that’s what comes to mind. Had a hard time finding that out here in Temple until one day, while scrolling through google “food near me”. Lollipops chicken burgers and boys popped up. So I clicked on it and seen the menu and had to check the place out. The 1st time I went in thinking I was just going to Order my food and go; which I did but after feeling the vibe I wish I would have dined in. I ate the food and told myself that before I leave temple to go back home i gots to eat there and dine in the next time. And I did. Both times I ordered the open face shrimp po-boy with dirty rice on the side. Poboy is a game changer and that dirty rice I think is the best iv ever had!! I caught myself looking in the kitchen to see who exactly was in there throwing down like they were. This place is a smash. 10 out of 10 . Temple has itself a true gem💯 and if I’m ever back in town I know where I’m going to be eating.

  There is no baby changing station here as of August 11, 2026. I wouldn’t recommend bringing babies to dine in here unless you want to risk going through what I went through. No accommodations were given to me and I was suggested to change my baby’s diaper in the car. Mind you it was 5pm in August high peak temp hours. Husband and baby were outside for maybe max 5min and my husband’s shirt was drenched like he came from the gym and my baby was hot and sweaty too. We ate our last bites and left immediately. Two stars because the food is alright but the customer service is disappointing. Some food on the menu is delicious like the open face po boy shrimp and others kind of bland like the mac and cheese. The fries were also a little disappointing because I like mine firm. I also think the menu should probably be revised for more clarification. The sides indicate $6.99 which is a lot for a small portion but I think that is the cost if you only order that. I’m not sure though. If you order a po boy and I think other main entrees, then sides are $1.99 extra.

  Ate here yesterday after church. We had the shrimp bowl, chicken pop bowl, open faced shrimp po boy, Mac n cheese , red beans & rice and bread pudding. Let me tell you...def 10/10 on taste, quantity and presentation. The staff was so friendly and wait time was fairly quick. The atmosphere was fun and the music had me catching myself with my head bopping and toes tapping. I highly recommend this place for something different in the temple area. I'd like to try the burgers next! Try it....you will not be disappointed!

  Lollipops 07-25-26 Saw this online a wanted to give it a try. Really nice restaurant. Plenty of room for guests. Restaurant was clean and had a fun design! Lollipop curtains added to the fun. We were seated right away. The staff were friendly and polite. She explained the menu and how some dishes were made. We started off with the Honey Garlic Sauce lollipops. The batter was crispy and the meat was juicy and flavorful. Will definitely try different flavors! We also had: Shrimp Bowl served over a bed of red beans, Louisiana dirty rice and topped with our famous brown gravy and Shrimp. Also a side of Macaroni and Cheese. Very flavorful. Catfish Atchafalaya, Fried Catfish with crawfish Sauce served over Rice. Crispy and flaky catfish. Served hot and fresh. I also had a side of Fried Cabbage. All the food was made hot and fresh! Thanks to the owners and staff for making our experience wonderful this includes the cooks and anyone else that made our experience memorable. We will be coming back for more great food! Thank you. .

  Those was our first time visiting Lollipops and let me tell you it definitely will not be our last! From the moment you step inside, you are greated by friendly, welcoming people. They were so nice and friendly. They talked to us and asked us if we had Ben there before, talked to us about the menu, answer the million of questions we had, and didnt get mad or offended when we butchered a few of the pronunciations. We ordered the Sweet Honey Garlic 3 piece Lollipop, the Catfish Atchafalaya with Fried Cabbage, a side of Mac N Cheese, and the Shrimp Bowl. No matter what you order here...you won't be disappointed. The food came out super quick and was fresh and hot! The Lollipops were crispy, with a sweet and slightly spicy sorta Asian flair to them. SO Yummy! The Catfish Atchafalaya was a huge serving of 2 pieces of catfish and the sauce had crawfish in it you could actually see served over a bed of dirty rice. It was so freakin good. We had that with a side of fried cabbage that was cooked and flavored to perfection! We also got a side of Mac N Cheese, which most places isn't anything to write home about...BUT here...let me tell you...I dont usually go for the Mac nlN Cheese, but this stuff was amazing, like I kept going back for more...I just couldn't help myself. And last but certainly not least, we had the Shrimp Bowl. This was a bowl of heaven brought right to your table served from the Cajun gods themselves! Everything was amazing and we will definitely be back...only problem is not knowing what to try next, but whatever it is...I know its going to be amazing!
