It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

    I had a very disappointing experience at this Whataburger. While placing my order, the employee taking the order kept cutting me off and speaking in a very unprofessional tone. When I got to the payment window, I paid for my food, and she simply shut the window and told me to go to Window A without giving me a receipt. I had to blow my horn just to get my receipt. She finally gave it to me and asked for my name, even though I had never moved from the window. Once I got to the next window, a gentleman gave me my drinks and told me to pull all the way up to a parking spot in front of the store, not the regular waiting area. I then waited an additional 25–30 minutes for my food. The customer service was poor from beginning to end. The staff’s tone was unprofessional, the service was extremely slow, and the overall experience reflected very poorly on management. I will not be returning to this Whataburger.

    When placing a drive thru order I was told the Patty Melt Jr doesn't exist. I then stated ok I want the patty melt. When I paid for my order I was not greeted nor told what my order was. The cashier told me "You do realize we don't carry Patty Melt Jr we only carry Patty Melts", the cashier followed by asking for my form of payment, proceeded to be told to drive to the 1st window while no receipt was given to me. Once I got to the 1st window I was told that it was a Whataburger, I then told the cashier that it was a patty melt not a Whataburger. When I asked for the receipt the cashier said that he couldn't print one that the other window was the one that prints receipt. I then asked again for the receipt and was told that he was going to get it and to drive up next to the door. I then stated just give me the burger and that's when the cashier called their supervisor and then the supervisor said that they didn't make that. I then showed both of them the app carrying the "Patty Melt Jr" and the option to add an extra meat patty. I was then asked if I still wanted the burger (burger that I had already paid for) and if I wanted the patty melt to drive around to place another order. This group of people seem uneducated of their own menu and unprofessional (staff show below unsatisfied customer service). I will not be coming back to this location. Where all they do is misinformed and show no empathy.

    Horrible just horrible, the lady that works there at night time is just horrible, don’t go, atleast fire her and hire someone who actually cares about the job. Many people out here trying to find a job while people like her get it and ruin it for all us customers. And I’m not the only complaint recently about the night time crew lol
