I was really disappointed with our experience today. There were three of us dining together, and unfortunately, all three of our entrées had issues.
My friend and I both ordered steaks, and both came out undercooked. Our other friend ordered the chicken-fried steak and also had to send hers back. Thankfully, hers was corrected and came back good.
We sent our steaks back to be cooked further as well, but when they came back, they were still undercooked. Even the manager agreed that they still weren’t cooked correctly and offered to have them put back on the grill again. At that point, I declined. The steaks had already been cut into multiple times to check them, and putting them back on the grill yet again would have only made them more unevenly cooked.
We decided to order different entrées instead. By this point, we had already been there for over an hour and a half and were ready to leave, so when the replacement meals came out, we asked for them to be boxed to-go.
I understand that mistakes happen, and it seemed like the kitchen may have simply been having a bad day considering every entrée at our table initially had an issue. What disappointed me was the way the situation was ultimately resolved. After both steaks were prepared incorrectly twice, waiting over an hour and a half, and ultimately leaving with different meals than the ones we came in wanting to enjoy, we were still charged full price for the replacement entrées with no accommodation for the experience.
We’ve enjoyed Saltgrass in the past, and my friend is also a Landry’s Select Club member, which made the experience especially disappointing. We weren’t expecting our entire meal to be free, but given everything that happened, we did expect some acknowledgment or adjustment to the bill. The initial mistakes were understandable. It was the way the situation was handled afterward that left us disappointed.

Saltgrass Steakhouse absolutely delivered for us tonight. We forgot to make a reservation and were told the wait would be about 45 minutes — but we were seated in just 10, which was a sweet surprise. The hostess was kind and welcoming.
Our server, Valerie L., made the whole experience even better. She was super sweet, fun to talk to, and really knew the menu. She helped me and my wife pick out exactly what we were craving.
We started with the rattlers, which had a nice little kick and paired perfectly with the dipping sauce. Then came the moment of truth — my country fried steak. That first bite hit me like a Ratatouille flashback. I melted into my seat. The extra‑loaded baked potato finished me off. I couldn’t even finish everything and had to take some home. It was so good I forgot to take pictures, but trust me, Saltgrass has plenty of great ones already.
My wife ordered the tenders and shrimp, and we both enjoyed them (we always eat off each other’s plates). Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked right.Easy 5 out of 5 for food, 5 out of 5 for atmosphere, and 5 out of 5 for service. We’ll definitely be back.

We went to this Saltgrass location for the first time last night, and the experience was genuinely exceptional.
Hayden and Calvin were fantastic. Not in an over-the-top or performative way, but in the way that really great service should be. They were sharp, attentive, and knew how to read the table perfectly. No hovering, no constant interruptions, just quick check-ins at exactly the right moments. That kind of awareness is surprisingly rare.
One small detail really stood out to me. There were three of us, but we ordered two entrées because we planned to share one. Hayden immediately picked up on it and simply asked if we would be sharing. When the food came out, the shared entrée was already divided onto two separate plates. No awkwardness, no making us feel like we should have ordered another meal. just thoughtful, effortless hospitality.
The food was very good, but honestly, the service is what made us leave talking about how much we enjoyed the night. We even made a point of sharing our experience with the manager before we left.
I’m a perfectionist and not easily impressed, so when I say something was about as close to perfect as an experience can get, I mean it. Hayden and Calvin absolutely nailed it. We’ll definitely be back to this location.
We’ve eaten at Saltgrass several times and have always received good service, so I honestly never thought to leave a review before. However, our waiter, Wyatt Brady, took the experience to another level and absolutely deserves the recognition.
The food was consistently good, as it usually is, but Wyatt’s exceptional service is what made this a five-star visit. He was attentive, personable, and genuinely made our meal more enjoyable without ever being overbearing. Great service can completely elevate a dining experience, and Wyatt did exactly that. We’ll definitely ask for him when we return!

When we arrived we were greeted and seated by a young lady. The server came to take our order.
We ordered from the restaurant week menu, it had a few great selections to choose from.
The young lady that served us, was very nice and always had a great attitude when she approached the table.
The food took awhile to come out, and when it did it was not worth the wait.
The salmon was over cooked and dry. The portion size seemed too small as well. I’m thinking this is because we ordered from the other menu. Which is not cool, but anyway!
I had my mouth ready for the salmon, once I tasted it, I was no longer hungry.
I was very disappointed.
