Nirmanz serves delicious Indian food! The biryani is fantastic. The sambhar is very spicy and so good. All the food makes me feel satisfied and well nourished like homemade food does. The ambiance is very fun with tons of Indian movie posters and a photo-worthy taxi seat. The family who owns the restaurant are so kind and welcoming. When I first visited years ago, I wasn’t very familiar with Indian cuisines, but the hospitable owners made me feel comfortable.

Nirmaanz's vegetarian menu has generally been quite enjoyable, and I have found many of their vegetarian offerings to be well-prepared and flavorful. However, their venture into the non-vegetarian category has been very disappointing. I recently tried the Kolkata Chicken Roll, and unfortunately, it bears zero resemblance to the authentic rolls served on the streets and in restaurants across Kolkata. Traditionally, a Kolkata Chicken Roll is wrapped in a flaky paratha and features mildly spiced, flavorful chicken. In contrast, the version served here is not wrapped in paratha, but a roti, and the filling is overly spiced, masking the characteristic flavors of the original dish. While I understand that restaurants often add their own twist to classic recipes, in this case the changes detract from rather than enhance the dish. I would encourage the team to explore the authentic preparation of a Kolkata Chicken Roll—whether by experiencing it firsthand in Kolkata or by referring to the many excellent recipe resources available online—before continuing to feature it on the menu. I hope this feedback is received in the constructive spirit in which it is intended. I would love to see a more authentic and flavorful version of the Kolkata Chicken Roll offered in the future.

Excellent food! Easily one of the best Indian food we have tasted. Everything we ordered tasted amazing. The place looks really fun as well. Really enjoyed the experience dining here and will to visit again soon.

We have been visiting Nirmaanz in Sugar Land over the past several years and have really enjoyed their street food dishes. However, their food quality appears to have deteriorated significantly in the past few months, since the owner opened another outlet in Richmond… We were there last week and ordered our favorite dahi puri. The dish had no evidence of tamarind chutney which is a key ingredient for this dish, tasted terrible and was no where close to how it used to be in the past when the owner used to make it with a personal touch…..the owner apparently is ignoring the Sugar Land location and has delegated the cooking responsibilities to a couple of Mexican cooks who have been taught the Indian food recipes but unfortunately have no idea about how to make the Indian food taste flavorful. NOT visiting this place anymore and would advise others to avoid this place as there are plenty of options for Indian street food available across Sugar Land…..have a feeling it might either get sold or go out of business soon in the near future…

How is the food so good! The Veg frankie is as authentic as can be. The Beetroot tikki is a hidden gem!
