I’m writing this review to report a very disappointing experience at a Jimmy John’s location on Sawdust Road on Saturday, March 21, around 2:45 PM.
We placed our order through the app, and all sandwiches were supposed to be hot subs (toasted). However, when we picked up the order, the employee handed it to me in a very rude manner, almost tossing it instead of properly giving it to me.
Once we checked the food, all the sandwiches were cold — none of them were prepared as hot subs as ordered. We called the store to address the issue, but the staff member who answered was extremely rude. They insisted the order was not placed as hot subs and claimed they clearly remembered it, making it impossible to have a respectful conversation or resolve the issue.
Beyond the service, the food quality was very poor. The bacon had no flavor and seemed almost undercooked, the ham tasted overly salty, and the mayonnaise was watery. The only thing that had any flavor was the bread — everything else tasted bland and poorly prepared. A cold sandwich is simply not the same as a properly made hot sub, and this completely changed the experience.
Because of both the poor customer service and the low food quality, we will not be returning to this location, even though it is convenient for us. We have had much better experiences at other locations where the staff is more professional and understands basic customer service.
I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves both service and food quality at this store.
