I really wanted to love this place because it’s only five minutes from my house. I drive past it all the time, and after seeing so many positive reviews, I finally stopped in because I was craving ceviche.
Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing from start to finish.
First, the employee at the counter didn’t seem very familiar with the menu and couldn’t confidently answer questions about the items. Good product knowledge goes a long way, especially at a restaurant with a specialized menu.
I ordered the shrimp and fish ceviche, and the biggest issue was the flavor. It was missing the bright, fresh citrus that makes ceviche what it is. It tasted flat and needed salt, pepper, and, most importantly, fresh lime juice.
I went back to the counter and asked if I could have some fresh lime wedges to add to it. Instead, I was handed lime concentrate from a pump bottle. When I asked if they had actual fresh limes, I was told they don’t carry them.
That was honestly shocking. A restaurant that specializes in ceviche not having fresh limes is hard to understand. Fresh citrus isn’t just a garnish—it’s one of the defining ingredients of ceviche. Learning that they rely on bottled lime concentrate completely changed my confidence in the quality and authenticity of the dish.
I came in hoping to find a neighborhood spot I could visit regularly, but instead I left disappointed. I won’t be returning, and I can’t recommend it based on my experience.
I want a refund but I’m going to go home and get some lime.
I also order the Baja taco and it lacked flavor. It had way too much cream sauce on it and I asked for fried and they gave me grilled shrimp. The tostado chips are trash , they need to change it. It doesn’t taste authentic and they aren’t doing anything homemade here! Not even juicing the limes. Please do better!
