When we first moved to Slaton, this Sonic was awesome. Now.... avoid at all costs, especially at night. And before Sonic corporate responds... we've tried being nice and handling this without a public review. Talking to local managers, no change. Posting on the Sonic corporate site, no change. It's bad. Slaton has no good fast food options any more because the McDonald's is even worse, if that was possible. Food is sub standard. Drinks, shakes, and blushes are made in the absolute laziest fashion. No mixing whatsoever. Fries are barely edible half the time. Chili dogs look like they were just thrown into the bags. And I used to give it a pass, because at least the employees were nice. But now, nope. Case in point... I ordered food on the app the other night. It was late and I haven't eaten at all. I check in on the app in a stall, and I hit the order button to request a small change. All I get is a "sorry, we were no longer taking orders through the the stalls because of 'security reasons'." Look, you are in Slaton... there are no security reasons at Sonic. But, before I could say that I already checked in and just had a simple question, they already cut the line. Rude. So instead, I had to go wait 15 minutes in the drive thru line, with a truck that decided to have lights on his mirror and blinding everyone. Only to get to the window and everyone basically celebrating in Sonic about getting off in 20 minutes... like, yall are open until midnight and its only 11. So how many people did y'all not serve???? And, it was obvious you didn't close the stalls for "security concerns"... no, it was because the kids you hired were lazy and decided they could close early if they did. Oh, and the food was barely edible. Only ate it because I had nothing else at the house. Heck, I even stopped at Allsups for insurance food and their burrito that had been sitting on the rack for a few hours was better. Avoid this Sonic and get it in Lubbock or Post.
I so wish our local options were open late. I would wait 20 minutes for a burger and fries if it was 1809 and I KNEW it was going to be made perfect. Our local options are amazing. Our corporate ones are terrible.
