The service was exceptional and the food, wow the food! Filled me up perfectly and was so so delicious
First off hats off to this restaurant for maintaining an 4.9 rating on google, that is very difficult to do!
I Ordered the Chicken Karaage and the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen.
The Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen was pretty good, the pork they put in there was minimal however. Typically the pork is a pretty round piece of meat but these were almost cut in half. The noodles, broth, and spice level was perfect I would definitely order again and probably add an additional egg!
The Chicken Karaage was not great however. I feel like it was a poor attempt at making a great appetizer that most places I’ve visited do right completely wrong (very dry chicken and breading wasn’t crispy). I wouldn’t order that next time I’ll probably go for the gyozas as I noticed quite a few tables around me order those and they looked great.
The hospitality was great. I was greeted, sat, served and paid out with the same lady. She was very kind, attentive, and you can tell she truly cares.
Tokyo Ramen and Poke Barn is a hidden gem! I went for the Tokyo Shoyu Ramen and it did not disappoint. The soy base is blended with a tonkotsu and pork broth, so it's savory and rich without being heavy. It comes with curly yellow noodles, tender pork chashu, corn, bok choy, scallions, red ginger, and dry seaweed, so every bite has a different texture and flavor.
The star for me was the fried boiled egg. It's marinated and absolutely delicious, and I'd order it again just for that.
I also tried the combo with karaage chicken, and it's a great pairing. The combo is so generous it could easily feed two people. Portions overall are big, you definitely won't leave hungry, and the service is super fast. Highly recommend if you're craving ramen!
We were in town and decided to give this place a try after seeing all of the positive reviews. We stopped in for a late weekday lunch, after the main lunch rush had ended, so we were the only table dining in the restaurant. We did, however, see quite a few people coming in to pick up to-go orders, which tells you that the local community definitely enjoys this spot. It is also conveniently located near the local college campus.
The service was warm, friendly, and welcoming. Portions were generous for the price, which we really appreciated.
The pork gyoza was delicious and had great flavor, although I think the filling could have benefited from a little more ginger and additional aromatics. The chicken ramen had a nice depth of flavor as well.
The yakisoba was probably my favorite dish. It was excellent, and I enjoyed it enough that I’m already planning to look up a recipe so I can try recreating it at home.
We also tried the poke bowl. The portion was generous, and there was plenty of sauce. Personally, I would rather have too much sauce than not enough, so that worked for me. I wasn’t quite as sold on the raw spinach in the bowl—it didn’t seem particularly necessary—but it certainly didn’t ruin the dish.
The only issue we experienced was that our dishes didn’t all come out at the same time. This may simply have been because there appeared to be only one cook working during our visit, so it’s understandable, but it did make the meal a little staggered.
There is no kids’ menu, so I wouldn’t necessarily consider this a kid-focused restaurant. That said, you could probably make it work by customizing a ramen order or choosing a poke bowl depending on what your children like.
Overall, we really enjoyed our meal. The food was flavorful, portions were generous, prices were reasonable, and the service was friendly. If we’re in the area again, we’d definitely come back—especially for that yakisoba!

The food was really nice and it was served on time. The Thai tea had really strong flavor and the appetizers were good too. Really good customer service and ambience.
