Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

El Camino Crossing San Augustine, TX 75972 Placed my order at 7:11am and sat down on the bench to patiently wait. During the first 20 minutes 5 people come in and order. 4 of the 5 get their orders and the 5th person ask for a refund from Manager Sabastian. Mind you, I’ve been waiting since 7:11am. 7:30am. I’m handed my bag of food. Minus the order of pancakes and sausage. Now I have to wait 10 more minutes. I then ask to speak to Manager Sabastian. Sabastian had been notified by Dinner room employees. 7:40 I’m given my complete order. Still No Manager Sabastian!!! Sabastian is failing WHATABURGER and their Customers. That is the honest evaluation coming from a 30 years retired Law Enforcement Officer. As a disabled American veteran I’ve have never been so disrespected and ignored. If it wasn’t for the fact that I had 2 grandchildren at home I would have gotten a refund. As a veteran I would NOT recommend this WHATABURGER.
