Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
I had an early morning flight at the airport. This was one of the better-looking options in the food court. There was a long line but nothing ridiculous. I had the breakfast bowl combo. There was egg, biscuit, gravy, cheese, sausage patty, and a small hash brown. The bowl was quite good and the portion was big. It also came with a fountain drink. I paid just under $10, for airport food this was a good value. I would stop here again, if I’m in the airport.

The cashier Sindy S was the rudest she has very poor customer service she was throwing cups as I ordered into the floor and seems to hate her job. She seemed upset due to how busy it was, its an airport and she should know where she applied.

Only one register open during peak breakfast hours. Waited 10 minutes in line and still waiting over 10 minutes for my food. Saw an employee putting her hair up in the kitchen while I was waiting in line. Wet unappetizing.

One of the worst Whataburger's I have eaten at asked for the #1 with Cheese, Mayonnaise, No Onions. The bread was NOT ONLY smashed, but cold. The burger was so cold the cheese didn't even melt, the lettuce looked brown and old they only placed mayonnaise on the top smashed bread not on the bottom even the Orange Fanta drink tasted carbonated.
I understand there are so many people in situations where they can't even buy a meal and I am grateful to be able to be eating but when the quality, freshness and nutrition value is diminished due to human error, it's like throwing money away in the trash. I can see based on previous reviews I am not the only one. It's sad that Management, Team Leaders or Supervisors DO NOT take the initiative to rectify and thoroughly train staff on proper cooking etiquette. As always fast food chains want to charge an arm and an leg for food but they want to give Poor service and horrible food. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this establishment for a meal. I will NEVER eat here again I can guarantee it's cost me more than monetary price, it's going to cost me medically too, since I am VERY ill.
