Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

I ordered online for dine in and and was shocked when the person at the counter brought my tray of food over to me. I was enjoying my meal, opted for a patty melt, fries with spicy ketchup, and a lemonade. Fries were flavorless but everything else was tasty and I was enjoying my meal. Right when I had a few bites of my burger left I saw something brown on the floor. I couldn't tell what it was since it was far away. It began to inch closer and closer and then I realized it was a cockroach. I immediately sprang up out of my seat and decided that it was time to go. I intentionally ventured out of my way to this location because of the cleanliness comments. I've ended up losing my appetite and already have a bad first impression for Whataburger.. oh well.
