Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
This place was dirty. No napkins, no salt or pepper, no stir sticks for coffee, sticky tables, and no coffee pots out for customers at 8am. Are they afraid the unhoused will steal their napkins? Clean it up, or shut it down. It's a disgrace to Whataburger's reputation. They should be ashamed to have their name on it. (And I like Whataburger, but not this one.)

I don’t usually have issues after eating burgers, but I had a pretty bad reaction after this meal at this location. It honestly makes me concerned it could be food poisoning at worst. The food itself was mediocre, and the overall environment wasn’t very comfortable- a few 'unhoused' folks were loitering inside the restaurant. The only positive was that the employees were friendly and did their best.

These fries were honestly disappointing. They look pale and undercooked, more limp than crispy. Making them less appetizing. The portions are inconsistent too, and they taste like they’ve been sitting out way too long. Definitely not what you expect from fresh fries.

The most horrible experience that I ever had. I parked out front because it was the only place that I could get you quick enough to use the restroom where I could just pull over and run inside to the The restaurant and asked if I could use the bathroom while my car was parked out front and it was pouring down rain. I was told I could only use the restroom if I was purchasing something I mentioned that I was just in the hospital for a heart attack back at the end of last month and couldn’t chance getting rained on by going elsewhere to try to find a restroom and the girl walked in the back cursing saying she wouldn’t give me her name when I requested it for the way that she was treating me. I asked for a manager and asked the manager for that employee’s name so I can file a complaint and was told by Management as well that I could not have that person’s name and the girl that was cursing that walked into the kitchen area was not talk to nor did Management act like they were gonna talk to her about her language. Because Management would not give me the employee’s name so that could file a proper complaint. I took a picture of the Manager.

The location and workers are amazing but the security has got to go!!!! Guy is on an ego trip cause he couldn’t make it as a cop! I was literally waiting for our mobile order and he wouldn’t let anyone in but one of us to obtain the food even though we were all paying customers and it was NOT over crowded. His opinion was everyone in the world was intoxicated while other customers were asleep inside. This guy should NOT be a security guard and I can see why he never made it as a cop. We were literally there to pick up a to go order and leave in an uber but his baby ego of a rent a cop and lack of respect to women got the best of him. We were not there to use the restroom nor sit at tables just merely get our food and go and he would only let one of us in. After I go my food they forgot the drinks but he saw me with my food bag and told me to leave and I told him my drinks are missing and he told me the worker can take them to the curb to you. I got my drinks and left and he followed me outside I continue to remind him he is not a man of law and just a robocop so he went and grabed a real cop to tell me to move 3 inches off their property. I complied while waiting for my uber. Guy should not be security of any establishment.
