Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

But even before that, when I came in, there were only two of them working at the counter. Ive been to restaurants with three times the people not getting orders out nearly as quickly!! The dream team them and the sweet young man working there with them. Way to go Whataburger. I will be back!

And we donated to whatever organization he asked us so we can get a coupon. My coupon was not included in the bag. Neither was the extra ketchup. Just sad, cold fries and a sloppy burger.

So here's the results, Popeyes, on Austin hwy, bigger sandwich 🥪, only had tater sauce and a couple of pickles, while it was bigger and is supposedly Alaskan flounder, it was tasteless, not that great. So went to Whataburger, same area, Austin Hwy and, smaller sandwich🥪 loads with lettuce, tomatoes, and tater sauce and tasted delicious 😋. In this case, bigger was not better! Also bought some fries and shrimp which come separate, c'mon Whataburger, a meal would be good! The shrimp was too breaded but was decent, less batter would have been better. WINNER 🏆 WHATABURGER!!
