Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

My daughter mentioned that they once offered the free breakfast during the entire week, but now have limited it to just one day during the week. She rose extra early today, May 7th (at 4:30 a.m.!) to do just that, and I accompanied her. It would be nice if the Whataburger chain would offer it throughout the day, so that other teachers could participate in it as well. Other than that, the restaurant we went to on Cuelabra Road was very clean, and the staff were friendly and courteous in taking and fulfilling her order. The food there is very tasty, and for a limited time they have their delicious banana pudding shake, which is a definite "must have" for all of the banana lovers out there! The parking lot is clean and well-lit, and all-in-all it was a very good visit and a nice dining experience.

COUNTLESS people came up asking for help, asking about an order they never got or missing drinks, somebody had received the wrong order the day before AND they gave somebody the wrong curbside order. This is ridiculous. Workers were trying but not hard enough and had attitude with every customer that needed something. I could go to a whataburger across town, come back home, and finish my food before I could even get my order taken at this location.
