  Excellent experience at True Texas BBQ! The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and everything we hoped for. But what really made our visit stand out was the amazing service from Lorenzo. He was friendly, attentive, welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed. Great customer service makes such a difference, and Lorenzo definitely delivered! We’ll absolutely be back. Highly recommend True Texas BBQ, and a special shout-out to Lorenzo for making our experience even better!

  WoW!! I was not expecting Austin level BBQ at a remote HEB in San Antonio!! The brisket was smoked beautifully with excellent coloring moisture and flavor! Rib meat fell off the bone and they even have IPAs on tap! Special shout out to Lorenzo who came by to ensure that we were satisfied. Excellent experience without breaking the bank. We will be back!

  This place is hands down the best BBQ place I have ever been to. The brisket is so tender, juicy, and the smokeyness is so good. Try it, and thank me later. Oh and please don't sleep on those brisket beans.

  Masterclass in Grace Under Pressure—Management Needs to Invest in Aish🥳 I visited this H-E-B barbecue counter and was completely blown out of the water by Aish. The restaurant was sold out of most of their food, and as a result, several customers were visibly unhappy and canceling their purchases. Having worked in the food industry myself since 2013, I know firsthand how stressful and high-pressure that situation is—and I honestly don't know if I could have handled it as well as she did. Aish displayed extraordinary emotional and social intelligence. Despite the intense pressure, she remained completely polite, respectful, joyful, and professional, maintaining a warm smile, positive body language, and a calm vocal tone the entire time. Rather than being pushy, she simply provided clear information and offered alternatives to let customers decide for themselves. To the decision-makers and leadership: Employees with Aish's level of natural leadership, grace, and emotional intelligence are rare. She handled a tough crowd with absolute mastery and turned a stressful situation around effortlessly. I strongly urge management to formally recognize her, acknowledge her exceptional talent, and invest in her growth. Whoever manages this location is beyond lucky to have her.
