  Laughable plate. For almost $14 you get a piece of meat-no BBQ sauce and 2 sides. I will add the meat was bland. For the price, I will stick to Bill Millers.

  This place has the best customer service anywhere. And I’m not joking. Elizabeth is a godsend here. She’s extremely nice and friendly, and she knows her customers. She takes the effort to know names and remember orders. She says hi every time we enter. While my wife was bed rest from major surgery, the turkey potato was a daily go to, and Elizabeth ensured we were taken care of and my order was always correct. She and her staff always say hi and are ready to help. Plus the food is amazing, it doesn’t miss a beat. I can’t speak highly enough about Elizabeth and her staff.

  WORST BAR-BQ EVER!!! Where do I start, first of all I’ve machine was broken and they didn’t have regular bbq sauce so that was and huge inconvenience. Then we got our food; 2 meat 2 sides plate 1 regular drink and a side of sureño corn bread, $28.78. Ok, that’s fine bbq is pricy BUT for the price I expect top notch quality meat and flavor. I did not revive that here at HEB’s true bbq, the only true thing about this place is that it is over priced and lacking favor! We tried their new Asian inspired ribs, turkey, brisket beans, and turkey. The ribs were absolutely horrible with the flavor of overwhelming soy sauce and who knows what else those were negative 10 in my book. The turkey was just ok which it’s hard to mess up turkey but it was dry and no real smoke flavor. The side were just ok as well the beans probably being the best but they were not hot at all. Corn bread was hard and crumbled into tiny hard pieces. We ask the manager if we would be able to get brisket because the ribs were so terrible but she refused which I mean come on HEB we spend so much money at your place you can’t afford to lose $5-$10 if that on a few pieces of brisket? Just a horrible experience all around at True bbq. I own a business close by and really wanted this place to be good to cater food for my guys but guess we’ll stick to other places around us.

  El lugar nos gusto bastante, todo estaba riquísimo, la mesera super amable, lo que me gusto es que nos hablo en español y eso se agradece pues había cosas que no sabíamos, Muy linda y amable, rico todo y muy limpio el lugar, claro que volveremos

  First time here. Definitely NOT the last. Diamond and Melissa were exceptional! Everything was delicious. The sausage, brisket, tenders and sidewinders were GAS!!!! Family of three spent about 38 bucks. A little expensive but the brisket was definitely worth it. What a nice little find! Staff was hecka friendly, food didnt take too long and overall 12/10 experience. Can't wait to try the complementary biscoff desert! The banana pudding was banging too!
