As a former Sonic manager, it pains me to write this review because I’ve always been a fan of the brand. Unfortunately, this location consistently falls far below the standards I know Sonic is capable of delivering.
The biggest issue isn’t just the food.. it’s the culture. The management team appears disengaged, and that attitude seems to trickle down throughout the store. Interactions often feel unfriendly, employees don’t appear motivated, and the overall atmosphere is noticeably negative.
Operationally, there are also some concerning issues. Food quality has been inconsistent, with items frequently arriving cold, dry, or appearing to have sat too long before being served. The exterior of the restaurant is often unclean as well, which leaves a poor first impression and reflects a lack of attention to detail.
What makes this especially disappointing is that this location has every opportunity to succeed. It isn’t constantly overwhelmed with customers, which should allow time for cleanliness, training, and execution. Instead, it feels like standards have simply been allowed to slip.
I live nearby and continue giving this location chances because I genuinely like Sonic and want to see it improve. This isn’t written out of frustration, it’s written out of disappointment. With stronger leadership, accountability, and attention to the guest experience, this store could be a completely different place.
I hope ownership takes a closer look, because the current operation does not reflect the Sonic brand at its best.
