  Went with a large party from work during lunch hour. No problem sitting a party of 13. Server was sharp and on it. Food was wonderful. I had one of the best ribeyes. 👌

  It’s our favorite spot for steaks on the River Walk; I recommend ordering your steak with the salad and the loaded potato. It’s usually packed at dinnertime, so expect a wait.

  My wife and I were vacationing and we decided to go in without reservations so we had a 45 minute wait on a Saturday night. The wait was well worth it. We were really impressed with the service our server was professional and had a wonderful sense of humor. We thought he was from somewhere other then the United States and asked me where I thought he was from I said Australia and said " Wow good guess" I was proud that I was right.. Later that evening he told me with a huge grin on his face that he had a speech impediment. I got a good laugh that he got me. We are from Utah and if we ever get back to San Antonio I will definitely have dinner there. His service we received will be unforgettable ❤️

  James is, without question, one of the best bartenders we’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. His level of attentiveness is truly exceptional and sets the gold standard for anticipatory service. He remembered not only each of our drink preferences but every little detail—from garnishes and accompaniments to how we liked everything prepared—without ever having to ask twice. What impressed us most was how genuinely cared for he made us feel. His attention to detail, warm personality, and commitment to creating an outstanding experience went far beyond five-star service. We were so impressed that we came back a second night just to see him. If you’re in San Antonio, do yourself a favor and make a point to visit James. He’s a destination in and of himself and an experience not to be missed. Thank you, James, for making our trip so memorable! Drinks top notch and appetizers too!

  My wife and I had dinner at Saltgrass Steak House by the River Walk in San Antonio, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. We were seated right away outside with a beautiful view of the River Walk, and the weather was perfect with a cool breeze flowing through the restaurant. Our waiter provided spectacular service with a great smile and was attentive without ever being pushy. Our drinks and bread came out quickly, and we never felt rushed while deciding what to order. My wife chose the 6-ounce steak, and I ordered the salmon with crab meat. When the food arrived, we were honestly shocked at how fast it came out. Everything was fresh, hot, and seasoned to perfection. The flavors were amazing, and the meal was absolutely delicious. It made for the perfect date night, and we would definitely recommend Saltgrass Steak House to anyone looking for a great dining experience in San Antonio. ***my wife and I didn’t take pictures ***
