My husband and I visited Saltgrass Steak House on June 12 to celebrate some very encouraging cancer treatment results. This was an incredibly meaningful occasion for our family. Saltgrass has always been my husband’s favorite restaurant, and his son had traveled in from Kentucky to join us for this special celebration. Unfortunately, what should have been a memorable evening became a major disappointment. The restaurant was not busy, yet the service was poor from the moment we sat down. Our waitress was rude, inattentive, and made us feel rushed throughout the meal, despite there being no apparent reason for it. The food was equally disappointing. Our meals arrived cold, and the steak was tough and difficult to eat. For a restaurant known for its steaks, this was especially frustrating. After months of cancer treatments, appointments, and uncertainty, we were looking forward to spending quality time together and celebrating a positive milestone. Instead, we left feeling disappointed and saddened that such an important family moment was overshadowed by poor food and subpar service. We understand that every restaurant can have an off night, but given the significance of this occasion and the fact that the restaurant was not busy, there was no excuse for the level of service and food quality we experienced. We expected much more from Saltgrass and hope management takes this feedback seriously.

A military discount that only applies to the veteran and not the table isn’t a discount — it’s a participation trophy. Saltgrass isn’t alone. Haywire, Sunny’s, Chama Gaucha — same play. One entrée. One veteran. Like we went to war for only certain people who deserved freedom and not all Americans. Just 86 the discount altogether. Don’t insult our families’ sacrifices to honor those of us who served and brought hell back with us. If it doesn’t cover the table, it doesn’t mean anything. Our server Aidan was genuinely excellent — attentive, didn’t miss a beat. Five stars for him. This review isn’t about him. The steak? Competent. Forgettable by Tuesday. The drinks? Exact pours. High prices. If you’re going to wave the flag, commit to it. Otherwise put it away.

Had a great dinner here last night. The food was good, and exactly what I'd expect from Saltgrass. What really stood out was the service—our waitress was friendly, attentive, and checked on us regularly without ever being intrusive, even though the restaurant was busy. Overall, a very enjoyable experience, and we'll definitely be back.

Saltgrass is a poor knock off of the Outback. The steak was too salty and the brussel sprouts were overcooked and artificially sweetened. The portions did not match the competition. The service was just "okay" at best. Given that I'm in an area with several choices for steak, I will not be returning to Saltgrass.

First, we miss the lunch menu smaller 10 oz Pat’s Ribeye that is no longer offered. Secondly, the larger 12 oz. ribeyes seem to be “different” from prior 12 oz rib eye steaks we’ve traditionally enjoyed there. New Ribeyes are less fatty and therefore not as tasty as the prior “fattier” cut that we prefer. The always reliable steak is not recognizable nor quite as good as before.
