Came in during the bottom half of lunch, seemed steady not crowded by any means; got a table right away. Sat for about 20 minutes without menus, each piece of the service interaction took really long times in terms of getting food and requested condiments. Food came out not noticably hot, but not cold either. Flavors were really good, just wish that the table service was a lot better, attentiveness is definitely an issue.

Went in today to celebrate Father’s Day. My husband myself and my two children. We had a nice waitress who was helping us and got our drinks and took our order. Never saw her again. We had about 3 different people help us. I don’t know what happened to our waitress. Service was not so good unfortunately. Husband got some oysters 6 of them .. we got 5 and they ended up bringing an individual one later on plate. My 2 year old got the kids meal grilled fish which came with spicy seasoning therefore she didn’t eat it. I did ask the guy who I guess turned into our server if it always came seasoned ( I tried it it was spicy ) he said it shouldn’t be spicy anyways he remade it plain .. but by then we were all done eating and we got it to go. From the time we sat down and the time we left it was probably like an hour and a half. The guy told us it was raking an unusually long time to come out… with a 2 year old that’s tough. Anyways, I’m not going to say the food was bad in fact it was amazing. The service was a disappointment for $140 lunch for 2 kids and two adults. I felt like we were sort of abandoned and anyone sort of stepped into help us …. I get that $140 lunch to some is no big deal but I expected it to be a little special it didn’t feel that way. That’s all. Food was 10/10 though. The halibut with crab on veggies was one of the best things I’ve ever had. Just be a little more mindful of your customers so we don’t feel abandoned. Hope our waitress we had to start is okay … she was very nice.

Pappadeaux’s never disappoints and is always worth the trip to San Antonio. We started with fresh oysters on the half shell, and they were incredibly fresh and delicious. Next came the jumbo lump crab cake, which was hands down the best bite of the day. The buttery lemon caper sauce complemented the crab perfectly and was absolutely outstanding. For our entrées, we enjoyed the fresh fish served with an assortment of roasted vegetables and the fried seafood platter. Everything was cooked perfectly, flavorful, and fresh. The quality of the seafood, generous portions, and consistently excellent food keep us coming back. Great food, great service, and a restaurant that’s always worth visiting when we’re in San Antonio.
