  i’m a first time customer of Outback, i thought i would try my location here on SE military dr for lunch and my first impression makes me never want to come back. the male server we had immediately pulled up a chair and sat next to our booth to greet us and take our drink order. i’ve never experienced this before and it made us very uncomfortable having someone so close to our personal space which was completely unnecessary. the second time he came back to take a food order and again, he grabbed a chair and this time sat even closer next to us to write down our order. the rest of the meal he was barely present and drinks not refilled either. i’ve worked in hospitality before and sitting with your guests is never a good look, especially so close and multiple times. unfortunately we were so creeped out and will likely not be returning if the manager allows this behavior. lastly, i ordered the 14.99 lunch special and on my bill i was also charged higher than that, almost $19 with no explanation of why or any up charges.

  Unfortunately, I have to report that yesterday I ordered a medium-rare steak with a lobster tail. I’ve just come from the doctor, and I was told the meat was contaminated; the issue wasn't that it was medium-rare—I’m used to eating steak cooked that way. I developed terrible diarrhea, and honestly, I won't be going back to that place. I’ve eaten steak elsewhere without any problems, and I am certain it was that specific meal, as the doctor confirmed it.

  “If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. I waited 20 minutes for our table, and the moment we sat down, two cockroaches crawled past our seats. We told the hostess and asked if we could be moved to another table, and she got really upset and didn’t want to move us. When she finally came over to tell us she was going to move us, she had this angry attitude. Like, seriously? Isn’t it your job? How are you going to get mad because customers are telling you there are cockroaches and asking to be moved to another table?”

  Great place. Clean, well kept, and friendly staff. Food was served hot and fresh. Our waiter Francisco was on top of everything. A+
