  Order a To go order at 3:45 said was ready at 4:15 got their 4:30 to pick up the food, didn’t see a staff member other than the door greeter for 10-15 mins, when I finally saw someone and told them I had a pick up order she said it would be out soon(she never check on the order) 10 mins later saw a different employee and ask him if he could check my order, he started to walk to the back to check the order and the original employee stopped him said something to him and they stated at me and laughed, 10 mins later 4:50 finally got my food, and as he handled me the food said would of came out much quicker if you tip(on carry out order I might add) crazy thing I was going to tip cash but after that comment and service will never be going back, I’ve read previous comment and don’t expect the owner to even read this with there copy and paste same comment on ever review, pleas avoid this place the employee are toxic and food is way overpriced for what you get.

  There was a lot of people not knowing what they were doing, the door was crowded and the host couldn't seem to find a table for us despite the many empty tables we were staring at. The server who Initially was going to serve us, flat out refused and mentioned a very rude comment about not wanting our table because it was just myself and my 2 boys. After what seemed like too long of a wait and the Initial waiter refused our table, we were given to a server who witnessed what was happening. Julian apologized repeatedly for the obvious discriminatory attitude from the 1st server about serving us. We feel it was due to a racial disparity and found that extremely offensive. We requested a manager to come to the table. The first server never called a manager. By the time Julian came and comendeered the situation we were ready to walk out. JULIAN turned a very nasty situation around and we decided not to report the racist server who refused our table. Julian made up for the lack of service we got when we walked through the door. A server brought us resolution, smoothed over my wife's anger and gave us stellar service to make up for the horrible treatment when. We arrived. Our waiter took care of our meal, our situational concern and fixed everything before my wife went full throttle with her complaint. JULIAN IS A PRO and handled that situation better than the people in charge who never showed up when We asked the 1st guy for a.manager...he walked away and never even gave us his name. Julian saved your establishment a walkout and an escalated corporate complaint. My wife is very adamant about informing corporate about experiences like this. Julian won her over and our dinner was not ruined .

  We have had awful service all week since we have visited the riverwalk . Today was our last day in town, we had dinner at Joe's crab shack and had THE BEST SERVICE we have had ALL WEEK . JULIAN was our server and while the tables around us spent their time waiting for drinks and food, Julian was on top of it the whole time. Our waiter ran circles around all the others, we lucked out and got THE BEST WAITER in your restaurant. Thank you Julian for finally giving us a wonderful memorable dinner on the riverwalk even if it was our last day here JULIAN is the best waiter you all have

  We just had a wonderful experience at Joe’s! Our waitress, Ashley E., was incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout our meal. One thing that really stood out was her kindness. A table near us had a baby who was getting hot, so Ashley found a small cooling fan and brought it over for the mom to use. It was such a thoughtful and caring gesture that truly went above and beyond. It’s the little things like that extra touch of kindness that make all the difference. Thank you, Ashley, for making our visit so enjoyable!

  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely Outstanding Experience at Joe’s Crab Shack! We had an incredible experience at Joe’s Crab Shack on the San Antonio River Walk, and a huge part of that was our server, Star. From the moment we sat down, she went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. The kids absolutely loved the Shark Attack (Shark Nibble) experience, and Star made it extra fun and exciting for them. She wasn't just a great server, she also helped us plan our boat tour and even assisted us with getting tickets right from the restaurant, which made our day so much easier. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was great, and the entire staff was friendly and welcoming. Star's positive attitude, attention to detail, and genuine desire to help made this one of the best dining experiences we've had on our trip. If you're visiting the River Walk, I highly recommend stopping by Joe's Crab Shack. Ask for Star if you can, you won't be disappointed! Five stars across the board for food, service, and hospitality. We'll definitely be back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
