This is the absolute laziest and rudest HEB I have ever been to and unfortunately I come here almost on a daily basis, and it's just getting worse day by day. Almost everyday I see at least 1 sometimes up to 3 dogs in the store at a time, I've almost stepped in a puddle of piss, it's almost like shopping for your groceries in a PetSmart. And all the employees seem to want to do is stand around and talk to each other. There is a guy that works at the self-checkout closest to the pharmacy in the morning, and he has gone off on me for having over 10 items when there is not ONE single person in the self checkout, but it pulled him away from talking to the female employee, and multiple times does he stand there and talk to his coworkers when I have my light flashing and I'm the ONLY person there as I often go early in the morning. This morning I asked 2 other employees for help because he was busy talking and they just pointed to him snd kept talking. There have also been times when they've closed the water aisle just to restock things and I had to ask 4 different employees just to get me a bottle of water as that is the only thing I was there for. Pair this with the quality of HEB's food going downhill, and I think I'll start paying for monthly groceries to be delivered from Amazon, it's cheaper, no employees standing around doing nothing and the quality has become far superior to HEB.
A wonderful place. You can get just about everything you need there. The employees are great, very helpful. I can't say enough good things about HEB! I won't be gong anywhere else! They have a Texas babecue. Yummy! Wonderful employees! There are electric carts, if you're not able to walk in the store. HEB has a pharmacy and pharmacy drive thru. Very helpful. HEB has a great customer service center: copies, etc. HEB's Parking lot is huge! They have great big letters on poles to help you remember where you park. You just have look up. All in all, great store! It's in a shopping center with a lot of other stores: UPS, T Mobile, to name a couple. Its very safe and clean. Have fun shopping!
I like this store because it has many options to choose from. However, one thing I don’t like is that when I order curbside pickup, they often make mistakes. They give me rotten vegetables or products that are about to expire in one or two days.
Another issue is customer service. When I ask for help with heavy items, like water, and request to place them in a separate cart and load them into my truck, the employees seem unwilling to help. I have had back surgery and cannot lift more than 10 pounds, and I often have to repeat this multiple times.
I also noticed a problem with the produce scales. When I weigh items and print the price labels to save time, the price on the sticker is sometimes different from the price on the receipt. I’m not sure if the produce scales are incorrect or if the registers are.
Overall, these issues made me stop using curbside pickup, stop asking for help with heavy items, and stop using the produce scales.
I like this store because they have many options to choose. But something that I don’t like is that when I order to pick up, they always make mistakes. They put rotten vegetables or products that are going to expire in one or two days. When I ask workers to help me with water to put them in a separate cart and help me to put them on my truck, because I had a back surgery and I can’t lift more than 10 pounds. They always look at me like they don’t want to help and I can do it by myself. I even need to repeat them multiple times that I can’t do it. Another thing is that the scales that they have there and I can print the prices to save them time, because some of the cashiers don’t know the codes or they take too long to search for prices and codes. When I use the scales the price on the sticker and the price on the receipt are different. Are the scales on the produce department wrong? Or the ones the cashiers are?
Overall is hard to understand this situations, but I stoped using curbside pick up, I stoped asking them to help me with heavy products, and I’m going to stop using the scales at produce department.
Kudos to the deli dept. and their willingness and professionalism and patience with 'A very vigilant mother who asked for full ingredients lists on several products to ensure they did not have the allergens, me and my child are allergic to.'
Unfortunately, I have found products that are labeled gluten-free, yet through my research I have found that some of the additives in them have hidden gluten or other allergens, and do not clarify if manufactured in a facility that could cause cross-contamination.
It was also discouraging finding products on their shelves with the 'Warning Label' of "Consuming this product can expose you to chemicals, including lead and cadmium , which is known to the state of california to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm...".
On another note, I was not 100% Satisfied with the Meal Simple steaks purchased today. They were leathery and not flavorful or lean at all. Yet the loaded potatoes in the Meal Simple package were very satisfying to consume. IMO, a Meal Simple of the Jalapeño cream cheese would be awesome in a family size portion.
All-in-all....I do like this location because it does carry a greater variety of options and products and it's restrooms have always been clean. The staff was also extremely nice in helping me locate my phone when I lost it and my children were being very rambunctious and distracting at the time.
MY only suggestion would be is to have a dedicated area for the gluten-free/dairy-free products for the customers with food allergies and dietary restrictions.
