  We drive in from Blanco to do shopping occasionally. This HUGE H-E-B has a large selection of just about everything, and we have a specific diet. Gluten free options are woven into the regular items, which makes them a little harder to find. At least this H-E-B carries gluten free options! We have found the greatest selection of gluten free beers at this H-E-B in all of San Antonio. The young lady who helped us today in that section was great, though I forgot to get her name. I like the produce quality here as well. 4-stars because the bathrooms always need attention. A busy bathroom needs a busier cleaning schedule. Otherwise, thanks H-E-B Bandera for a good shopping experience!

  My both daughters was at HEB plus by Bandera and 1604 was both wearing traditional clothes from our country both dentist doctors and was shopping at beauty supply and they noticed many mangers and workers walking around them and call each others and one of my daughters heard she called the security and one come to talks to them if u see they are stolen let them do that and catch them at the register but scared them that not acceptable. Let your manager work as professional with customers.

  Wow! I had been to many H.E.B Plus but not like this one. This location by far is the hugest grocery store in Texas. It's insanely spacious, its wide aisles make it way less stressful to shop, even when it's busy. They've got a great selection, not just groceries but also a really nice housewares and kitchenware section, which was cool. Pretty much everything I needed was easy to find. The staff were also really friendly and helpful, which always makes a difference. Overall, a really solid store—clean, well stocked, and easy to shop. The only downside is the parking lot; the space wouldn't accommodate too many vehicles if this place was crowded. Though, still one of my favorites.

  I’ve been going to this HEB for the better part of ten years as my main HEB. Last night I stopped in to get a few things and went to the (empty) self checkout on the pharmacy side of the store. The girl running it very rudely shouted at me “EXCUSE ME SIR IT IS TEN ITEMS OR LESS”. Mind you, I had less than ten items, they were just large items like paper towels and some 12 packs of soda. She told me if I counted them in front of her I could use self checkout. WHAT??? When I was a cashier for HEB we were told if someone comes through the express lane with anything even close to the limit, you let it slide. I didn’t even bother to count my items I just went to a regular line because that employee SUCKED. Do better HEB. Make sure your employees know how to treat customers. We aren’t all regular customers and that kind of interaction could be the first and only impression out of towners get.
