H.E.B. Probably had whatever you need. Their prices can be more expensive than Walmart and other retailers. Produce department is better than Walmart’s.

Part 1. On June 7th, 2026 I was disabled discriminated by the store director, 1st name George I forgot his last name, perhaps as well racially, but my focus is more for being disabled. Our local neighborhood store is on the corner of Foster Ave & FM78. My family and I have been happily shopping here for roughly 18yrs. I am a disabled combat Veteran with Purple Heart handicapped plates. Recently our store repainted the parking lot and have taken away most of the disability parking spaces. Since the new parking structure, I've held back my frustrations how it is almost impossible to get a spot to park and the lack of enforcement to the many vehicles taking the spots illegally. Our area is mostly retired Veterans and other disabled drivers amd should be taken into consideration since the majority of parking spaces in the back are always open to park. On this day I arrived around 12:00 in the afternoon and did the parking lot dance for about a half hour. I noticed what I've noticed constantly of a couple of vehicles parked in the disabled spots without placards or proper plates. Since the new paint job this store has done nothing to impose regulation to the signs posted. Certain folks just don't care and take the spots away. This day I'd had enough. I stood my car in the parking lot just in front of the store next to one of the vehicles illegally parked and asked if the store director could please come out for a moment. After a brief wait he came outside where our conversation started. I kindly said hello and introduced myself, and he responded accordingly. I then proceeded to ask if he noticed the time it takes to find a spot has increased dramatically and told him I've been circling for 30 minutes. Then I added that that wasn't the main issue and how it was that folks, like the car I was standing next to, who parks illegally without repercussions and even pointed out a second vehicle the isle over without proper tags. I have to add here that when George came over, he brought with him the store's hired security personnel. A moment later, a woman who drove the vehicle pulled up in an electric cart while I was talking to the store director how the car had no identifiers to park there. Then the woman snapped at me saying she had one but 'she had to get it'. She was an older woman and I responded kindly that was fine and all but getting it doesn’t mean having it and it means you can take the space until then. The store director looked at the woman who was behind him, then sharply turned his head to me, and ordered me to get in my car and leave and how he wasn'tgoing to allow me to speak to customers like that. I did a double take looking at him and asked "like what?" I proceeded to tell him that, as a disabled driver with proper identification, I was making a complaint to him. I even pointed to my Purple Heart plates and asked didn't I deserve this spot? His response was "so" and told me again to get in my car. He was incredibly rude, disrespectful, and condescending directing orders acting like I was waisting his time. I calmly tried to reason with George and informed him how more than half of the disabled spaces were taken away after the new paint job on the lot. Then the security person tried to order me to get in my car and move, completely ignoring I was having a conversation with the store director, so I ignored her. Again George was even more rude and advised me how again I wasn't going to talk to customers like that, I was confused by 'like that', like how? I wasn't being rude.. I mean by now I was in disbelief being treated so disrespectful when I was struggling to stay calm. I asked George how long he's been at this HEB and he responded 3 years. I said my family has been shopping here for over 18 years and never had a problem and the parking has never been so bad. His response was in a harsh tone "WE ARE ADA COMPLIANT! NOW GET IN YOUR CAR AND LEAVE!"

Iv lived in this area for 4 years and this H-E-B has always been the worst(i do my best to avoid shopping here), the employees are rude and throw/slam your groceries, there is constantly a nasty rotten smell by the produce area, and the parking lot is extremely dangerous due to people not caring about human life and almost running people over in the parking lot on a daily basis. Today i tried to make a quick run for the kids snack and we almost got ran over by an aggressive driver who was intentionally speeding up at people walking across the parking lot luckily i saw and stopped me and my kids, then on the way out had someone start backing out directly into my 4yo child who was walking next to me and had to pull him back. Iv been a-lot of places as a military child and this by far is the worst most dangerous store iv been too!

Had a great experience today at my local HEB. Both managers and the girl at checkout were incredible. Had such a great time till my Apple Pay decided not to work. But they were so patient, offered to hold my groceries till my wife could head over with the credit card but ended up getting It fixed! I love my HEB kudos all around! 🎉❤️
