  I stopped by the H-E-B Deli to buy some ham and cheese, and Ever was so kind and helpful. He took the time to explain everything to me, answered my questions patiently, and sliced everything quickly. I really appreciated how friendly and welcoming he was.

  On Sunday July 26 I went to Alon HEB to get pecos melons, they were out of them, but the produce partner Rueben not only suggested sugar rush melons, but also went out front and brought 2 ripe ones in for me…excellent customer service. Thanks Rueben Norm Decoretz

  My partner and I grocery shop here every two weeks, it is my favorite location to come to. Unfortunately tonight while at self check out we had a rude encounter. We needed help adding a coupon before paying for the transaction. So we call for help. The lady was TRIPLE checking to see if we scanned everything, and spoke to us with a rude tone. I do understand that loss prevention is an important aspect of any job, but you do not have to look down at anyone the way she did. Hope it was just a bad day because she could have at least had a nicer tone.

  Read an interesting article in Southern Living regarding grocery stores with the best prices. They listed 14 grocery store staples; milk, eggs, bread, vegetable oil, peanut butter, flour, sugar, etc. and only purchased the store brand to see which store had the best prices. Here’s the list: 1. Kroger $30 2. Wal-Mart $30.95 3. Aldi $33.15 4. Albertsons $35.58 I wondered how San Antonio shoppers would fair since HEB has a monopoly in the city: Here goes…. If you purchase all the items from the Hill Country Fair brand you’ll pay $31.39 If you purchase the HEB store brand you’ll pay a whopping $42.80… is it really “here everything’s better” ??

  I love this HEB. I wish it were closer to my house, but it's on the way home. They literally have everything. The butcher was cool and gave me exactly what I wanted. The quality of the short beef ribs was amazing. As someone who loves to grill and smoke meats, I found the marbling awesome. They have lots of great choices in any department you want to go to, and it's always clean and organized—a definite must-shop location.
