  I witnessed an upsetting interaction at this location that I feel needs to be shared. A woman with two small children was having trouble with the payment terminal. When the manager, ALEXIS, was called over to help, she immediately took an aggressive tone with the customer instead of approaching the situation with patience and professionalism. Alexis spoke loudly enough that other customers around us turned to look, and told the woman she would just have to find another way to pay rather than making any real effort to resolve the issue calmly. The woman, who is Black, looked visibly embarrassed. The interaction concerned me enough that I felt I was watching racially motivated treatment. Whether or not that was the intent, the behavior was inappropriate and unprofessional. The situation was eventually resolved and the woman was able to complete her purchase, but no customer should have to feel humiliated in a checkout line in front of their children. Even the checker looked embarrassed by what happened. I told him his manager needs to treat people with more kindness. HEB has a great reputation in this community, and that interaction DID NOT reflect it.

  I have always been pleased, shopping at the Heb, Bulverde. Never have had any problems with finding anything. I love shopping there.

  I usually have nothing but love for HEB. This one has been a favorite it’s huge and organized well. I love the ready made section and pretty much everything except what I unfortunately am finally done with and just accepted that I cannot ever buy bagged produce from HEB again. And I used to be so proud after moving to Texas that I had the opportunity to call HEB my home grocery store. However, for anything produce related that comes in a bag, we will have to unfortunately shop elsewhere. Twice, weeks/months apart (so it can’t just be a bad batch) we have purchased broccoli from this location. Both times before the due date we have opened rotten wet smelly broccoli. Today my husband asked isn’t this the place we don’t get produce from, and my naive self said “well as long as we make it tonight hopefully it will be okay” cause I really didn’t want to stop at a different store for one thing. NOPE. It still had 4 days until it’s “best by” date FOUR DAYS, and the bag was so wet inside you couldn’t see the rotten quality in the store until you opened the bag. And then the smell was so strong I had to take it outside then and there. I wanted to drive with my stinky broccoli back, but I wouldn’t trust an exchange. I want to say the store itself and the employees are wonderful but be careful buying bagged produce even if it has multiple days before the “best by” date. It’s HEB brand so I want to trust in HEB but not after multiple let downs. We brought it home from the store TODAY and it was inedible and stinky.

  I don't like going to HEB these days anymore me and my fiance find it hard to get any good customer service when it comes to HEB especially the one off especially off highway 281.. but today we were so happy after out the interactions with the delightful Brent and our cashier (I know I'm butchering this but their name started with a Ch.." we had asked how to say their name and they explained to us the history of their name and we told them that was so cool.. I'm sorry if that isn't much information I also threw out my receipt) but Brent was our bagger and both the cashier and Brent ..were so gentle and generous with us. They made conversation that didn't feel forced it felt like they really cared to talk to us.. made us smile and laugh, asked us if we needed anything and had us smiling the whole time. I really hope to see them in higher roles in their career at HEB because they definitely deserve it. It's hard to find good customer service.. it's nice to finally want to go back to HEB.. all because the cashier and Brent.. I am so sorry I can't remember how to spell or say the cashier name and even tho .. I really hope this partner gets the recognition they deserve. Thank you and God bless
