Went for breakfast with my wife we both ordered menudo. Traditionally it is service with line, onion , and oregano. The server brought out the food and walked off we had to ask for the a companyments and even the tortillas that are normally given. We have eating here in the past and the food and service was amazing in the past. I did informy wife that we will not be returning. It's a shame how the service and food has changed
The food is always delicious and the service is spot on. This is our go to restaurant for Mexican food when we are on that side of town.

I was visiting my brother and he suggested we try El Chaparral. Unfortunately, the initial experience wasn’t great. The hostess seemed selective about whom to greet and be friendly with, which didn’t leave a good first impression.
On the positive side, our server, Danna H, was polite and attentive throughout, which helped balance things a bit. We started with the Grand Chamoy and a Mexican candy that came with it, both were enjoyable, and the drink itself was well made. The Grande Chaparral Margarita was also good; you could clearly taste the tequila, which was nice.
As for the food, it was mostly average. The Queso Flameado had a nice presentation with the flame at the table, but the texture was chewy and a bit hard to enjoy. The tableside guacamole was bland, definitely expected more flavor there (around a 2.5/5). The Flacos Quesadilla and Pollo Asado were just okay, nothing memorable. Tres Leches dessert was also average.
One miss was the jalapeno margarita, it didn’t meet expectations, but the staff was accommodating and replaced it with the Grand Chamoy, which we appreciated.
Overall, it was an okay experience. The drinks stood out more than the food.

My girlfriend & I dined on April 19th. at 10:50 AM. She ordered the Menudo & I had the chilaquiles. The Menudo was luke warm and there were only tiny pieces of the tripe and very little to eat, VERY little. The chilaquiles was nothing more than tortilla chips that had green salsa poured over them and served with sliced avocado, sliced white onion & sour cream-this is most certainly NOT chilaquiles in any way shape or form, just plain awful and an insult to chilaquiles. Please stop serving this ilk to your customers, it is an insult to good Mexican food, which this most certainly is not. I would be ashamed to serve this to anyone. Warm regards.

BVOCAL4LOCAL.
I couldn't believe when we drove by here that it wasn't packed like it normally is. So naturally I spun the car around to get in there LOL.
I'm glad I did. I had an incredible tostada with beans and avocado and an egg over easy. Just delicious. This friend I was with and I both agreed that we would try it again. I didn't have flour tortillas so I couldn't vote on it. But this friend said they were good. They didn't use the word great but that's not in their natural vocabulary either LOL. This friend actually makes fun of me for using the term "magic tortilla". Obviously they don't know what magic means lol.
So next time it's me and the tortilla..... round two LOL
